"What a fun stay - Texas hospitality all rolled up in a neat little boxcar! We needed one brief night only, but would have loved to stay longer. Renovators will love seeing remnants of the original rustic boxcar blended into a modern, updated comfortable hotel suite in the middle of the Texas prairie. Industrial strap anchors in the wall wait to be useful to hang cosmetic bags. Skylights have been incorporated into both ends of the car to increase natural light. And windows are limited to reduce visibility of distant neighbors. The car sits on a solid cement base that provides stability for the car and a large fenced patio area to be enjoyed by both humans and fur babies. The host has provided all comfort amenities like snacks (my favorite were the popsicles in the freezer), filtered water ready to drink in the fridge, blankets, Texas themed books (historical and fiction), assorted Texas state magazines, teas and coffees. The only items we found missing were Texas honey as an alternative sweetener, and vintage records to listen to. Due to limited time, we did not cook, so I cannot speak to that. The host is easy to get in contact with and made immediate adjustments to correct a situation that arose. I highly recommend a stay here. "
