"Excellent place to stay in C’ville"

"Beautiful hotel. Great staff. Enjoyed room service and restaurants. My only negative observation were multiple stains on the carpet in my suite. My friend’s suite had the similar stains. The hotel was renovated last year I believe and I was surprised how noticeable the several stains were in both rooms."

"Our king deluxe room was spacious, quiet, very clean, and had all the necessities one would expect. Although there was no physical check-in desk, there was an attendant at the door to direct us. When we needed a new tv remote, I texted the link provided and someone delivered it shortly. Our biggest concern was parking because the hotel has no parking available. However, therev is valet parking, which we used, so it all worked out."

"Hotel was the grossest hotel I've ever been in. My room's stunk of smoke.Despite the fact that it was nonsmoking. When I questioned the staff about this , they said they could come in and spray some spray. There were cigarette burns on the tub. The door was covered in filth. The sink had a crack all the way across it. The headboard had chunks of the laminate missing. The floor molding was cut out and you could see debris and earth where it was missing. There is no street sign to identify the hotel. It is in the parking lot next door to a strip club."

"We stayed at the Dinsmore Boutique Inn for one night on a recent trip to Virginia. It’s a beautiful historic building. Before check in we were contacted by the host, Jake and he was then around to welcome us when we arrived. He showed us around and gave us recommendations of where to visit and places to eat. We were staying in the Library Loft - a truly beautiful and quirky room on two levels. The bed was enormous and extremely comfortable with luxurious bedding. We both had a wonderful night's sleep. An al-a-cart breakfast was included at the hotel's Farm Bell restaurant which was delicious. The only comment we have is that we were unable to make a hot drink in our room (bottles of water were provided). I love to have a cup of tea when I wake up and I had to wait until breakfast! Staying at this hotel was a highlight of our trip and we wished we had been able to stay longer. We would highly recommend the Dinsmore if you need somewhere to stay in Charlottesville. "
