"We enjoyed our stay at The Herring House. Helga & Dagur were fantastic hosts. Breakfast was great: yogurt, breads, homemade jam, meat, fruit, juice. They kindly provided gluten free bread on request. The need was comfy. The room was dark and very quiet. We had a cabin with its own bathroom. Just be aware that the shower is outdoors and shared."
"We were welcomed by two young women who could not have been friendlier. Amazingly, we quickly established rapport thru common interests, common travel experiences, etc. We must have visited with them for 20 min before heading to our room. The next morning, they were not immediately on duty, but when we left about 9:30AM or so, they made a special trip out to the parking lot to see us off. This property is a very neat, clean property, and we felt like honored guests by the end!"

"We arrived in the evening, driving through clouds unable to see anything. We awoke to find we were surrounded 360 degrees by gorgeous mountains! We were awed!It was a bit of a drive on a dirt road but well worth it. The house was great. As described. The hot tub was an added treat. "Pia had great communication prior to our trip so was smooth transition to getting in her house. Had the whole first floor, Pia’s artwork was decorated around the house. All amenities and easy walk to downtown. Pia also had pamphlets for local attractions and map of Siglufjörður ready when we got there. "
