We really loved the room. The town is in a scenic location and was very beautiful and quiet. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The beds we comfortable and the room was spacious. Check in was easy with the key box and the staff was very welcoming. The breakfast was good but more expensive than anticipated. We didn’t realize it was not included in our reservation. Would definitely stay again.

Unexpectedly wonderful gem in the countryside. Everything is first class. The wellness area and restaurant are top quality. The staff are helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and charming. All of this in a quiet and beautiful rural setting. We will certainly stay there again when in the area!

Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing… Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!

Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb. Lots of walking opportunities around town with site seeing and hiking just a short drive away. Same for the garage charges, slightly less than the hotel in Frankfurt. 13 euros extra per day and that was an unexpected cost when you expect it to be part of the hotel price.

Hotel is in en excellent location-across from central bus terminal, with Tegut supermarket 50 meters away, central shopping/dining area and train station minutes away by foot. Hotel itself iis clean and esthetically appealing

The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Everyone from the owners who made you feel like family to all the servers were excellent. The owners spoke English. Although Steffi did not speak a lot of English she tried and always had a smile and was delightful. The tub was an unexpected surprise but a very good surprise. There was also a shower. I highly recommend this gasthof and if we come back we will definitely stay here again.
