About this property

Lake house with private pool.

  • Lake Hickory is a hidden gem in North Carolina. Only 45 minutes from Blowing Rock and an hour from Charlotte and Asheville. Less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Hickory where you’ll find great food and cool shops. This beautiful property on lake Hickory is perfect for families and entertaining. Down by the private pool you will find a charcoal grill, floats, plenty of seating, and a diving board for hours of entertainment! The property has lake access but water is shallow. Access the lake by kayaks and stand up paddle boards (boats are not able to access dock). When the water is low kayaks need to be walked out to deeper water. The property includes kayaks for adults and children. The lake depth fluctuates about 2 feet. There is a small creek that runs under the dock that is fun for kids to explore. Kids can play in the shallow water and catch minnows in the creek. The house is on a dead end road so there is very little traffic.
    Downstairs you will find a fireplace with an oak poker table and space to play games. The house has three full bathrooms with showers. There are three bedrooms and a futon and bunk beds in the basement. The yard is perfect for kids to play. “It’s All Good” lake hickory home is an ideal place for families and friends to vacation.

The Lake house

We loved our stay at the Lake house. It was clean, Spacious and had plenty for the whole family to do. The three bathrooms were a big plus when getting the kiddos ready. The property itself was so cute with a fenced in yard which I loved for my littles under 5. The area was really nice as well very quiet and peaceful.

This house was perfect for us while staying in Hickory for our daughters wedding. 3 bedrooms upstairs and a futon downstairs in the basement. The kitchen and pool were great! We would definitely stay again! Thank you for hosting an unbelievable event!

Family Getaway

We all had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the pool everyday and of course the back deck. This is our 2nd year staying here. We have family 30 minutes away and 90 minutes away and they were able to come over each day. The area is super nice and we ate at a great restaurant called FOURK.

Wonderful Weekend Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at The Lake House. Can’t wait to return in summer/pool season to get to enjoy great pool area. The house has everything you need to be comfortable and the views and setting were spectacular! An amazing experience

This house was in the perfect location and even better than what we expected. The house was very clean. I would update the pictures on the listing. The pictures look great, but once you are in the house, the house is SOO much nicer.

Family vacation

My family and I were looking for a place to vacation in North Carolina to enjoy some cool weather for a break from the Florida heat. This place has great for 5 adults and 2 children’s. Plenty of room for all of us. We really enjoyed looking at the lake view and the year was nice to let the children play. The only negative was a few of the linens and towels had stains on them. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place in North Carolina

This is a great place and management is quick to respond.

The TV was not working downstairs would power on but would not give any options for channels or anything. A blow dryer would be nice to have there but we did not find one in any of the bathrooms. But those are minor things overall it was great for our family that stayed and came to visit.

Perfect Getaway

My 10yo wanted a family vacation in the Carolinas. Well, this was perfect! The pool, of course, was the biggest hit and there was a neighbor kid (8yo) that made friends with him quickly. The beds, bedding and towels were to die for. Plenty of cookware and utensils for home cooked meals. The outside garbage was full but that was no biggie because a friendly neighbor offered to take it. The property owner answered within 15mins with a check in question. Overall 10 out of 10 experience

Lake Hickory Family Fun

We loved staying at this property. The kids have already asked to come back sometime during the summer. My siblings and I all grew up in Hickory. My Mom is still there. My brother came to stay with my Mom for a few days. My husband and I and our 6 children rented this place so that we could be close while my brother was in Hickory. It was the perfect place for all of us to hang out and have a meal together. We loved the pool. Someone was always in a kayak. Fun fact: you can see cove that this house is on while driving on the 321 bridge. We played in the huge front yard too. One morning, Brandon picked up breakfast from Homers (Windy City Grill) while the kids and I played at the pool and on the lake. The owners were super easy to talk to and work with. I love Hickory. Everything about this house reminded me of all of the things that I love about Lake Hickory.
