"Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and living space. Although the property doesn’t look great from the street, don’t let it fool you. It’s a beautiful cottage with a spacious backyard and amenities. The host was responsive to requests and very accommodating."

"The beds are comfortable, the living room set up is great. The refrigerator was clean except the water purifier pitcher has mold- we did not use. The shower curtain liner was covered with soap scum but I think that should be changed every visit. The kitchen chairs need a good cleaning and the pots, pans, utensils need to be gone over. Found a lot of food debris- there is not a dish washer and guests do not wash the dishes thoroughly. We did not use the drying rack as it is rusty and dirty. I washed all the eating utensils and any pan we used prior to using. The location is great. The grill was readily available. The fire pit was VERY nice even though we did not use. The outside patio and stairs probably need to be power washed- a lot of mold. Stairs are not bad except last 3 have no hand railing which makes the difficult. The washer dryer in basement was a huge help. We washed the bathroom rugs the first day as they were obviously used a lot. The rugs in the house were a tripping hazard- they are not stuck to the floor and slip easily. They were well used and needed washing. Several of us tripped more than once. The comforters are not washed between visits. In general the accommodations are nice but a good thorough cleaning was definitely needed. The host was very good. I did not complain or notify her because I think it’s probably just the way it is. Again the location is excellent and the living room set up great."

"Sandy Bottoms was exactly as represented!The home is inviting & extremely comfortable! Lots of special touches & thoughtful amenities which we appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, spices, and many more supplies than expected. The s’mores ingredients were especially thoughtful for the fire pit! :)The dock & hoist was convenient for our Sea Doos. The lake is clean & was very calm most days. We are walkers…the main road has a large shoulder area to walk (or bike) on & many side roads along the lake nearby to walk down. The bunkhouse worked well for my Dad to have a private place to retreat & relax. The owners were easy to contact, quick to respond & reached out to check on us. We travel a lot, mostly to 5-star resorts, so I can be a tough critic & I would highly recommend this property!"
