"The house is nestled in the hills of the Berkshires. The house was very clean and had the most accessories in the kitchen that we've ever seen (in a good way!) Lots of glasses, bowls, trays for serving meals and snacks. The kitchen was recently remodeled so it was very fresh and clean. There were 2 tables so we were able to do a puzzle and dine at the other table. There are plenty of seating areas for groups or for privacy. We lit the fireplace on 2 nights which was wonderful (we brought some firewood even though some was provided). We also had happy hour on the deck that overlooks the large yard which was very enjoyable. We had planned to use the firepit, but ended up not using it.Two of the bedrooms are fairly large which worked well for selecting one for my grandson's blowup bed. There was plenty of room for the 7 adults and 1 toddler.There are several stairs you need to climb. You enter the house on the lower level and then climb a full flight to the main level and then another full flight to go up to the bedrooms. I wanted to mention for those who may have limitations. This was not a problem for our group.We had a minor issue. I contacted Alex and he got back to me quickly and we resolved it. We had a lovely stay and took advantage of things to do in the area. I recommend this home."

"Our daughter was getting married in the area and this house served us well to accommodate our family plus location was ideal for proximity to wedding venue. Host was great. Quick to respond."

"I have rented through VRBO 6 times but all in Europe. This is my first disaster. The house is not what is pictured. It is old,furniture is old, and the house is musty . The bathrooms are on different floors so if all bedrooms are full you have come downstairs for a shower. There is very little water pressure. It takes a half hour to wash your hair. The sink in one of the bathrooms is on the wall on a slant so you can’t even put a toothbrush on it. Shower curtain was dirty so had to buy a liner and bath mats. When we arrived there were hornets flying around the bedroom and the wires in the bedrooms were were connected to extension cords in such a way that you would trip over them if you had to get out of the bed. Also the main bedroom has very low slanted roofs so you invariably bang your head getting into bed. The only good part was that when we called about the hornets the night we arrived a lovely young man came by and put more tape on the windows and killed the bees as well as reoriented the wires in all the bedrooms. The next day we continued to see hornets and called again. Another young man came and really helped getting rid of them up on a ladder and finding the nest outside. He also called an exterminator to help. So, this is a house more for young people who like camping out . "

"Everything was perfect! The home is immaculate. Beds comfortable, kitchen so generously stocked - even with coffee and tea and thoughtful to-go cups! We loved using this as our home base as we explored Hudson and Rhinebeck! "

"The property sits atop a hill, with a spectacular view. It consists of two houses joined by a hallway and a terrace. There are also two kitchens, which makes it possible to use two ovens and two fridges.The furnishings are very nice and the beds and bed linens are very comfortable and upgraded, as are the towels. There is plenty of dishes, pots, pans and even a variety of very nice serving platters and bowls, and the hosts have graciously left a well-stocked pantry, complete with paper towels, napkins, foil etc.The only negative comment are the bathrooms: in the first building there are many rooms on the upper floor but only one bathroom. Also, the bathrooms are roomy and clean but all cheaply made, in sharp contrast to the stylish furniture and luxurious location of the property.The communications with the host were impeccable: all the questions and issues answered and addressed almost immediately, and that courtesy is greatly appreciated."
