Everything looked new and clean. Mattress not great but cleanliness made up for it.

No warning for the late night party
Whilst the building and staff where nice, they failed to mention that there is an event that went on until 1am that day. Since we called up to confirm our dog could stay as well, I expected this to be shared.

Overall good
The kings Hotel was overall good. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and service good. Only bug bare was having travelled over 3hours we were looking forward to an evening meal at the hotel only to be told kitchen was out of order and no food available so we had to find a place local ,thankfully we did so highly recommend "Mowchak" Indian, a 2 minute drive away or 10 minute walk. Reception were apologetic but it would have been nice to be notified of the issue prior to arrival
Staff friendly and helpful. Some noise from an overnight wedding and from people leaving. Bed not as comfy as my own and some noise from the shower room towel rail. Nice overnight stay though- good position.

Should be great but was pretty disappointing
A great location with plenty of good, free on site parking. The room was very small (described as ‘cosy’) but comfortable enough and clean. The food, however, was really poor. The deep fried greasy chicken burger was embarrassing and breakfast was a cheap tasting full English. Food and service in the restaurant needs some serious attention.
The staff were really helpful and friendly, but the room and bathroom were tired, dated and did not feel or look clean, not what I expected of an executive room for the price.
Hopefully once the renovation is completed it will be better, but I would not stay there again until it is finished.

Struggling to come out of lockdown.
Tried 2 rooms. One had a bed that was so soft your feet were above your head. The next room smelt of sewage. Hotel had no hot water.
The hotel did try to assist and paid for us to stay in another hotel which was a very nice gesture but shouldn't have been necessary.
Hotel is trying but very much lacking attention to detail throughout.
Only complaint is the sky box or tv didn’t work in either of the rooms I had booked.
Rooms were nicely finished and to a high standard. Bargain

Wycombe
After arriving at 8pm after a long 3 hour drive I was ready to chill out in my room and watch a bit of television, unfortunately the receptionist made us aware that the sky television was down in our room. After having nothing to do in the room I was forced to go and sit in the bar area which I wanted to avoid with the current situation.
The rooms where very small and dated . But the one good thing it was a comfortable bed and we had a great nights sleep, but we would not return because of the standard of the rooms its not worth the money are premier in has far better rooms at a cheaper price.
Poor state of decoration and lack of staff especially in the restaurant

Very good value and I would stay again.
This is a good value hotel and I would be happy to stay again. The bedroom and bathroom were small but well appointed. Our room had an air conditioner in that didn't blow cold and would switch itself off after about 20 mins. Notwithstanding that the staff were nice evening food was Ok and the buffet style breakfast was good.
The staff at this hotel were fantastic, sadly the same can not be said for the hotel. New owners and a few improvements are happening, nice bar area and a few rooms have been updated (lovely but the finish is not great) We went in three other rooms and nearly didn’t stay as they were so bad, old and very dirty. We were put in a new room and the staff couldn’t of been more helpful
We were told that the boiler had broken down and no hot water available Worse things happen in life and accept this sort of thing can happen, We were given a complementary breakfast so no problem and will book in again if we are in the area. Bob H.

a nice hotel to stop in for a night. I was surprised at the size of a double room, was more a king single, but comfortable enough. WiFi was a bit patchy for enabling work emails to send.

Just what was needed
Great overnight stop. Arrived late, left early. Plenty of parking, friendly late night team. Absolutely what was needed
Old, dark, grubby, over-priced. It was convenient to be near the friends we were visiting, the staff were ok, apart from breakfast where they seemed to be hanging around doing nothing whilst tables were dirty, food, cups, plates, glasses etc had run out
