"The Ferry Inn is a combination hotel/pub with breakfast included on our booking. We ate dinner both nights in the pub restaurant. The food was good & they had several choices for each course. The location was excellent for the Scrabaster/Stromness ferry & it was easy to navigate to Kirkwall & all the sights."
"Great place for our short visit to the Orkneys! Very close to the ferry service, easy overnight parking, very close to most of the Neolithic sites we wanted to see, and great breakfast each morning. "
"It was a pleasure to stay with Shona this week. Very friendly and prompt communication. Upon arrival was a friendly welcome and tour of the property which was modernly styled, very spacious, and immaculate. The large kitchen has no shortage of storage, fridge/freezer space, very large oven, hobs, pans, crockery, utensils etc. and spacious dining area for 8, couldn't ask for more!!! "The hotel is in a great location. Unfortunately the hotel in its self is a bit tired and could do with a make over. The guy at check in was a bit scary.!! "

Add to that an ideal location which is right next to the ferry port (first house on the left when leaving the ferry terminal) and just opposite the post office/local store right at the heart of the village. There is also plenty of parking outside / nearby and is nice and easy to get to all of the mainland both by car and bus (stop is just outside). Would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Shona."
"This place is a dream! It has a large and beautiful library that guests are welcome to use. The breakfast is delicious and provides variety of your choice. The accommodations are not only beautiful, but also very spacious. There are 2 windows in the bedroom that we could open to let in a cool breeze. The bathroom is incredible. The history of the home is truly amazing as well. The host, John, was very helpful. I can't recommend this enough. We didn't want to leave. "
"We had an incredible 2 night stay here. Fyona and Colin went above and beyond to make us feel at home and we would 100% stay there again! Breakfast was delicious, the room was cozy but just what we needed and the neighbourhood was quiet. It's about a 20 minute walk to the shops in Kirkwall which was so perfect. Can't recommend enough!"
