"We were given a twin room despite booking a double room, we were too tired to question because of the language barrier. The television downstairs was on constantly, even when no one was watching it, and was very loud, we could hear it in our room with the door closed. The bed linen was dirty and the floors were filthy underneath the beds, the furniture provided was cheap and falling to pieces. "My daughter (25) and I were doing The Silent Route in 2 days and decided to stay in this great place/ Wonderful stay in this lovely monastery. Follow the eating times (09:00 for breakfast and 21:00 for cena) and you can also have great food. Highly recommended."

"The room was clean and ready for us We arrived in the pouring rain and dark. It was easy to find the Repsol garage but difficult to get to the hotel. We had to drive over a pot holed area beside the garage. There was no one at the hotel ( you check in at the garage), there was no information about where or at what time we could eat and no ideas on how to walk to the restaurant (in the rain) I would not have been happy to stay there alone. "Comfortable hotel with plenty of parking outside. Our room also had a lovely big terrace. One point to note is that (probably because we were staying out of the peak period?) the in-house restaurant was closed for the Sunday night. There seemed only one restaurant open that night in Castellote, which is situated on the outskirts of town, but within walking distance, at the bowling alley. We therefore still managed to get an enjoyable meal. "
