New owners with energizing upgrades and new to our program in 2022 - Beachwalk 209 is very nicely decorated and offers all the comforts of home including 5 Smart TVs and an outdoor gas grill all within walking distance to the beach. Shipyard is a quiet gated community perfect for those looking to rest and relax. Shipyard is a great spot for those who enjoy outdoor activities while on vacation: on site pool, short walk to beach with easy access, bike on the many secluded & shaded paths, play tennis at the Shipyard Racquet Club, or Golf at the unique 9, 18 or 27 hole options at the Shipyard Golf Course. All within minutes from the condo. Located just across the street from Beachwalk is the Sonesta Resort which offers a restaurant along with an outside bar. King in BR1, King in BR2, 2 Twins in BR3 plus 2 Queen sleeper sofas. Place was as described. Two floors was bonus. Loved that there were 3 1/2 bathrooms. Beds were comfortable. Nice to sit on back deck for morning coffee. Short walk/ bike to Beach. AMAZING Sunrises!

Wonderful family trip

We had such a wonderful vacation here! It was the perfect size for our family of 5 and we really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, just minutes from the beach on a walking path. The resort is peaceful and relaxing, and the unit itself is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. We also really enjoyed our nightly bike rides!

Beautiful unit

We enjoyed our stay at the Beachwalk unit within the Shipyard community. Under 10m easy walk to the beach. The unit was beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious. Nice TVs in each room and super comfy living room made for a fun hang out area. We look forward to returning!

Two great weeks with my whole family

Had a wonderful time together. We did enjoy the access to the beach with babies. Some crumbling tile work on the floor. Handle on sliding door was broken off and sitting on a table. Bugs were not bad, which is a huge plus for me. Parking is an issue. Not enough spaces. Wished there was at least one designated spot per villa. Overall, mostly happy with the villa.

There were just a few things the I want to mention are the sky lights in the master were quite bright I wish there was a way to keep the room dark. Also the a/c vent in the master rattles and made it difficult to sleep. Also was did receive any trash bags in the unit. Honestly these things were not that big of a deal just thought I would let you know. The furniture was comfortable with plenty of space for everyone.

A very enjoyable stay at this property

My family and I have been visiting Hilton Head yearly for over 20 years now. I always try to stay in the Beachwalk complex due to its close proximity to the beach and it’s location in the Shipyard. This property was as described and has new owners that are doing a great job with this condo. They have replaced many things and seem to be planning on more. I like that the property has 2 pullout couches on the first floor. We only used the one in the main living room area but it was nice to have options. The owners ask that the outdoor furniture is covered at the end of everyday which we did but I’m not sure how many visitors will actually comply with that request as it is a little time consuming to do daily. I also only gave this condo an average rating for cleaning as I found 2 dried up contact lenses on my comforter in the master bedroom and I reswept the kitchen/ additional living room area when we arrived because it was still a little dirty but that wasn’t a big deal to me. The condo has a well equipped kitchen and there are also lots of games, 2 bikes, a cart and a few other beach items for use. We didn’t use them but wanted to note because it can be nice to have those things if needed.

Nice, Updated Unit, but Rodents In Kitchen and AC Broke Down!

The unit was nicely appointed and consistent with the pictures. However, we had a few problems with the rental. Most concerning - rodents nibbled on any food on the counters one night, causing us to dispose of a lot of fruit/food. The unit needs better pest control! In addition, the property manager printed out incorrect gate passes (causing us to be detained and questioned upon entry after a few days), and the upstairs AC broke. To be fair, the property manager fixed the parking passes (next day), and was diligent in getting an HVAC service to repair the unit (same day), but it would have been nice to have avoided those problems during our stay -- especially with no apologies or offers of accommodations for our trouble or loss of food. Other than these issues, the unit was very nice, and the updates are tasteful and comfortable. However, I would be concerned about the rodents in this unit and would think twice about this area of Shipyard in general (Beachwalk) as we were told that the rodent problem is an issue there.

Spent thanksgiving here with our family and everything was perfect. We’ll equipped kitchen 2 separate living areas which was ideal and three very comfortable bedrooms. Also very convenient to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely House, but too far from Pool and Beach

Reviewer Comments: We originally were booked into 125 Beachwalk, which is next to the pool, and a 7 minute walk to the beach. We were notified the week of our trip that there was a problem with 125, and we were being moved to 209. The house was comfortable, but we were expecting to be closer to the pool and beach, which is why we chose 125 in the first place. This property was as far back as you could get on Beachwalk. We ended up having to drive to the beach because it was too far to lug all of our chairs, umbrellas, cooler, etc. Deck was very small and super cluttered - we couldn't sit out there if we wanted to because it was so overcrowded with furniture and tables and stuff. Beds and furniture inside were very comfortable, unit was clean and bright.
