Welcome to Chalet!
This single story cabin is located along the Seneca Lake wine trail on the west side of Seneca Lake.  Chalet is one of 3 cabins on a private road.  Our other two sister cabins, Chateau and Castello, are located on the same driveway and if you have a large group, check with us about the possbility of renting all 3 together.

The cabin is an open floor plan with a spacious kitchen/living/dining room area.  The kitchen is stocked with cookware and dinner ware for 6 persons.  The living room has comfortable furniture to lounge on, along with a large screen tv and electric fireplace.  The dining room seats 6 and has a set of patio doors that go out onto the back deck area where you'll find an outdoor dining set and a gas grill.

The master bedroom has a comfortable King size bed, extra large closet, and an attached Master bath with a shower.  This bedroon has large windows that face over the front porch and toward the view of the lake.

Bedrooms 2 and 3 are located at the opposite end of the cabin from the Master bedroom, with a full bath in between.  Bedroom 2 has a Full size log bed and Bedroom 3 has a Queen bed with windows looking out toward the lake.

The cabin has a spacious yard if you would like to bring yard games to enjoy and there is a firepit area.  The parking area has room for 4 vehicles.

When you rent this home, you are renting a private residence or secondary home, a very personal experience. Our homeowners have furnished and decorated this home to their taste and comfort.

*A limited amount of paper towel, toilet paper, soaps, is provided for each guest.  If you run out, you will be responsible for purchasing more according to the needs of your group

The house was exactly as we expected. Was very quaint and quiet location, a last minute get away before the holidays. The view was great, and we enjoyed the fire pit at night we even saw a shooting star. We were only there for 2 nights so what was in the house for appliances we could work with. However if staying a week, more options on appliances would be helpful. Other than that, the place was fabulous and would stay there again. Highly recommend.

Chalet at Castle Point
One of the nicest properties that we have ever stayed at - and that's saying a lot! Extremely clean, well-appointed with all modern amenities! Kitchen space is perfect with lots of pots and pans for home-cooked meals. Close to wineries on Seneca Lake and Keuka Lake. Grill was clean and functional, fire pit was perfect to sit around at night and picnic table was brand new. Only slight drawback is that both the couch and master bed were somewhat low and soft - hard for taller people. Other than that - absolutely perfect. 5 stars*****

Beautiful Cabin Getaway
My family and I really enjoyed our short getaway to the Lake Seneca region of upstate NY. Like many have commented before, the cabin is one of the cleanest and well-maintained properties you will find. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, overlooking Lake Seneca from afar. Everything inside the cabin was functional and modern. Functional gas grill on the front deck and a spacious fire pit off the rear deck. We really enjoyed both, to grill my son's favorite meals, to burn a wonderful campfire and do Smores. Perfect setting for a family. We look forward to our next visit!! Five stars all day long.

Beautiful home-sparkling clean and welcoming.
The house was really beautiful - nicely decorated, crisp linens, ample room. We really enjoyed our stay and everything that was described in the listing was correct. A couple of suggestions would be to provide bath mats and a hand towel each for the number of people staying. Paper products were a little sparse for a 7 day stay. That said, we made due and it didn’t spoil our trip at all. Many thanks to the Lingers! Loved it!

This house was impeccable! Quite possibly the cleanest vacation rental we've ever stayed in. The location was great for exploring the area but not convenient to shopping so would recommend stocking up upon arrival or on the way in. Bedrooms were cozy and comfortable. Having the laundry and dishwasher were other perks. Would have been nice to have a few board games or things to play on the expansive lawn by the fire pit. Also, the living room is lovely but not very comfy for multiple people. A sectional or more comfortable chairs for a family of 5 or 6 to watch a movie would also make the space more enjoyable. Overall, great stay and easy experience with check in and check out.

Quiet and Convenient
The Chalet cabin is located approximately half way between Geneva and Watkins Glen, and not far from Penn Yan which made exploring these places really convenient. We enjoyed the fire pit every night during our 5 night stay. The location is quiet and peaceful.

Wonderful Winter Weekend
We had a wonderful winter weekend at this beautiful vacation home. Everything went smoothly from booking to departure. The house has just about everything we needed. We spent Wild Card Sunday watching hours of football so another comfy couch (or a couple of cushy chairs) would have made it perfect. We're already talking about coming back!

Long family weekend getaway
The house was perfect for our family of five vacation at Seneca Lake and Watkins Glen. We had to initially cancel our stay and later rebooked several months later. The owners were super kind and helpful! The house has a nice layout and very clean. We had all the kitchen amenities that we needed for a few home cooked meals. The electric fireplace is a nice touch in the main room and warmed up the room nicely on some cold days. There is a welcoming porch overlooking Seneca Lake in the distance where you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning. While we didn't visit for the wineries this time, we couldn't believe how many options there were nearby! We did visit the Grist Iron Brewing Company which offered a lot of delicious meals (and a beer!) for lunch. And you must check out all of the beautiful waterfalls (all within 30 minutes of the house!). Highly recommend Eagle's Cliff Falls in Montour Falls - no crowds like Watkins Glen; and if you hike up the short trail, you'll be amazed by the little oasis tucked away behind the cliffs. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful chalet at FLX
This was absolutely one of the best VRBO’s ever! Pictures don’t really show the style, charm, & cleanliness of this chalet. So many extra features that our family truly enjoyed.

Perfectly relaxing retreat
We stayed at the Chalet for just a few days as a quick getaway, and it was everything we had hoped it would be. The reality of the Chalet and property absolutely lived up to the photos. Everything was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, dishes, knives, etc. My wife would have liked a little more shampoo, but I generally bring my own anyway, so this was not a significant issue for us. The setting is very peaceful and quiet; close enough to everything we wanted to see and do, but far enough away that when we sat outside having dinner, there was barely a sound to be heard. The one star I deducted for communication with the property manager was because while they were responsive, there was a bit of a delay. We alerted them that there was no laundry detergent or hangers in the property, and while they did drop both off, it was about 36 hours later and we were only there for a couple of days. But otherwise, a great trip. Would recommend to others and would stay there again if we were going to the area.

Super Birthday Trip!
Celebrated my daughter's 30th Bday with this visit to Finger Lakes. Chalet is super cute, clean, well appointed and perfectly sized for our party of 4 adults, with great location for wine tasting and breweries. Backyard picnic table and fire pit were very appreciated for evenings outdoors, with a fabulous lake view and nice breeze. Note to visitors or owner - no hangers! The only other addition I will pack next time (and we are already planning our "next time") is non-metal cooking spatula because I didn't want to scratch cookware with metal utensils. See you in the fall!!

Excellent place to stay
Our stay at Chalet at Castle Point Paradise was wonderful. The house has a great layout and was very clean. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you would need and the propane grill is right off the kitchen on the front deck. For outside the house-- it was great having a front deck and back deck because it allowed us to take advantage of the shade at sunrise & sunset. The property is well maintained and has a great seating area off of the back deck. The chalet is located far enough off of the main road where you don't hear the road noise and the area is very quiet. The property manager provided a great intro email with all of the details we needed and left nothing to question. Check-in/check-out were a breeze. Wifi worked great and the appliances & bathrooms are all modern. The beds were comfortable and there is a nice dining room table. I would highly recommend this rental. Certainly a home away from home!

Paradise!

Gorgeous setting with easy access to everything
Chalet was very clean (and we are picky!). One floor living, which worked well as our friend recently had his knee replaced. We did not cook, but the kitchen had all that would be needed. Location worked well to enjoy all this area has to offer (Watkins Glen/wineries/breweries). We would certainly recommend this home.

Very clean home, lovely porch and yard area with fire pit. Inside is an open concept living space perfect for playing games, watching tv, enjoying a meal together. Great location in terms of getting to wineries on the west side of Seneca lake!
