Amenities are beautiful. Surroundings are amazing. Not the ideal location if you are hoping to use this home as a base for getting to and from Jasper. We made one trip to Jasper and it was just over an hour, also an hour to Miette. BUT… if you are using this place to get away from everything and to unwind in the outdoors this place is perfect!!! The host is easy to get a hold of if needed. Everything you need plus more in the kitchen! Fire pit is beautiful. We would definitely consider staying here again if the host will have us!

Quiet stay

The house is located off a dirt road in a quiet area (asides from the train tracks). It had everything we needed and provided us with a good base to explore and hike Jasper and surrounding area

This Property Is a Dream!

A memorable getaway!

It was such a beautiful house, kept in great condition with excellent facilities and also yum treats left for the guests. Monica is a wonderful host, who was also very accomodating of us having an additional child and providing us with a mattress. We loved the fire place and this house and location definitely enhanced our bonding as we came together for a family reunion.

Excellent

Nice peaceful location just outside of Hinton. While the outside looked nice the inside was even better... clean and spacious with plenty of amenities and a nice outdoor deck for grilling and enjoying the evenings. Check-in and check-out were seamless and all communication with the owner was clear and helpful.

Great Stay !!

Stayed two nights (June 2024) at this location and had a great, relaxing time. The house was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals and i loved the amount of space we had. Also, the owner, Monica was always quick to respond to any questions / concerns. The town of Hinton has a ton of restaurants / fast food places, Walmart, Safeway Grocery Store, Shoppers Drug Mart. If you’re travelling to Jasper National Park, check out this property in Hinton, Alberta.

Family Vacation

Our stay at this location was great. There is plenty of room and was very clean. Getting in touch with the host was very easy and they responded in a timely manner as well as checked in to make sure everything was ok. It was close to the city centre and it was nice to see wildlife in there natural environment. We saw deer almost every day. Over all it was a great place to stay

Hinton Home

We had 5 adults and 2 children stay in Monica's home. There was plenty of space for all of us and we enjoyed the outdoor space as well. Monica was prompt in getting back to me, if I had any questions. This home was nearby to Jasper which was convenient for us. Our family was comfortable and happy during our 2 day stay.

Perfect Girls' Weekend

This was our 2nd time staying here and once again, it did not disappoint. There were a number of new items added to the house which included a massage chair in the master bedroom, a new Keureg that accommodates both pods and a 12 cup pot. It is nice to see owners always looking to make improvements for their guests, well done!

Definitely going back.

We chose the property because we had a large group for a girls getaway. The property was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and had all the necessities for our time spent there. It was great to sit around the campfire after a long day of sightseeing and not have to worry about splitting wood as it was already done for us. It was a group decision that we will be coming back next year. Can’t wait!!!

Canadian Rockies Romp

We LOVED this property! It was the BEST VRBO we have ever stayed in. Plenty of room of all five adults to spread out, yet plenty of large spaces for togetherness. Many of us tried and loved the massage chair in the master bedroom! Woke up early one morning to find four female elk on the property, enjoying their breakfast, which was very exciting! We utilized the grill and firepit, and both worked out great. Anything we needed, for our day we were able to find, and the laundry area was a HUGE asset. The bathrooms were large, and many of our party raved about the downstairs shower. Would highly recommend this property.

Hinton stay

The place was big and clean. Beautiful pictures hanging on all the walls. They had everything available to make your stay comfortable. The only drawback was the location- it’s set back from the town and not a 10 minute walk to stores unless you hiked through the back woods and over railroad tracks. Outlet in bathroom by entry only had outlet behind the mirror so it couldn’t be used. One downstairs bedroom had a big stain (probably paint) on carpet. Great place for a big family- they had a crib for a baby too. We really enjoyed our stay only mentioned the negative in case they want to make some changes.

Planning to return next summer

My family stayed here with another family and enjoyed our stay. The living areas and bedrooms were spacious. There is a large deck to enjoy the outdoors while the kids played in the yard. Kitchen sufficiently stocked and provided everything needed to prepare our meals. There were a few downsides. The house is located in the outskirts near the river which was nice but it makes for extra travel time to Jasper park. The west mountain road does not go through like it looks like it should on the map so it takes 10-15 minutes to get to the west end of Hinton because you must backtrack. Also the train track runs right behind the house. It is a very busy track and can be heard in the house. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will most likely book again next summer.

Amazing stay and properly

Everything was perfect. A better choice then any hotel! Lots of space for everyone and exactly what we wanted. I was traveling with my sisters family and their young baby, by dad, and my family with 4 children. We all had our own bedrooms and space. Multiple tv’s, bathrooms, showers. My kids had their own space away from the adults. The baby could nap without being disturbed but my sister could still enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck. Close to the grocery store, Starbucks, and by BIL found a local gym to use for our stay. I wish we hadn’t been there with a purpose as we were busy and away from the property during the day for most of our stay and my kids would have loved to play and explore outside more. My kids loved the bedrooms and bathing in the beautiful soaked tub (so did I!). Thank you for having us, we would come again in a heartbeat!

House was nice. Kitchen was well stocked. Appreciated the snacks, water and bug spray offered by host. The downfall is that the house is located in an industrial neighborhood with freight trains passing every 1-2 hours in the middle of the night. Often times the trains are loading and unloading cargo! Unfortunately, the noise from the trains is very disruptive to a peaceful night’s sleep. The house does not have air conditioning nor fans, so you have to keep the windows open at night to cool off the house which makes the train noise and machinery noise difficult to bear.
