"I had to chase for the entry codes to the property, literally an hour before arrival at the place. Possibly because I booked through Expedia, but that shouldn't be my problem, and it really annoyed me. Not a word of apology from the host, again, might be language barrier, but does not show them in the best light. "I’m fairly disappointed with this property. The rooms are definitely not “soundproofed” as you can hear absolutely everything going on in the other rooms. The bed is not memory foam or, if it is, it’s extremely old. The room has a smell that I think is coming from the old wardrobe and now all of my belongings I brought stink. There is a loud, obnoxious buzzing sound that goes off in the hallway every few minutes. The street is under major construction that doesn’t look like it’s going to be...

"Basic simple room in a new apparently purpose-built house about 10 minutes walk out of the old town. Don’t make the mistake we made - we thought we’d be doing hosts a favour by extending our stay directly through them only to discover that they charged us a higher nightly rate than Hotels.com. It’s strictly business here as not only did they argue with us about the rate, but they insisted on their price rather than graciously backing down and accepting the misunderstanding and benefits conferred...
