The owners were both very nice and welcoming especially toward my three mid/large dogs. The Room (Cabin) is spacious being a two bedroom. Good facilities and a full size fridge which is always appreciated. Floors and nice wood which is also practical for the doggies as well. Easy to keep clean. I appreciated no hidden extra fees for the dogs which some places charge. I would easily want to stay here again. Even without the animals. Would be nice for families as well.

The greeting we received at reception was excellent: personable, friendly and helpful. A big tick there. The linen was clean. The room was relatively clean overall. And that was the good. Regrettably, the bad far outweighed the good. The shower was mouldy and the mugs in the kitchen were stained and dirty. Best NOT to expect guests to reuse kitchen sponges and dishcloths already used by previous guests, especially in a pandemic. They should have been replaced with new ones. The cabin and furniture are very tired, the mattresses were uncomfortable, and the queen bed mattress in particular has seen better days. But that wasn't the worst bit. The location is really, really noisy. Trucks were in and out of the adjacent 24hr Caltex all night, grinding up and down gears, and the constant background roar of the Hume Motorway was impossible to drown out, even by running the fan all night for white noise. Little sleep for me. All I needed was a comfy bed and a restful sleep. I'm really sorry it missed the mark.
