This is a convenient and affordable stop off whilst travelling. Heating and bed were good. Bathrooms and toilet are outside…hard to explain! So cold to get to in winter.

It’s an old historic pub hotel, as such it lacks some of the amenities of modern hotels, but good food, good atmosphere and a picturesque historic town make up for that.

Such a friendly and pleasant place to stop over. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Charmimg old style buiding with high ceilings and verandahs. Food is exceptional and prices are very reasonable.

Nice old hotel. Good tv channels. Comfy bed and clean small room with queen bed. Very high ceilings. Bathroom separate was ok too. Bar areas downstairs were good. One staff member could have been cheerier. On main street but quiet in my room.

Our room in this Heritage-listed hotel included a private en-suite. (Be advised that most rooms do not). The room was large and comfortable. The bar and bistro on the ground floor seem popular with the locals and the food was good. The building is old (Heritage-listed!) and considering its age, is well kept up. Music from downstairs goes on until 11 or so but is more of background music while in the room. Overall a good experience for an overnight stay.

This was value for money but was not luxurious. The restaurant food was amazing but the doors creaked making too much noise for the bathroom in the night. Good for a one night stop mid week.

1. The food in the bistro was great. 2. The service at the counter was friendly. 3. The room was cold when we entered it. 4. The wall heater was way up the wall. 5. The ambiance was quiet and peaceful. 6. The breakast bar was EXCELLENT! 7. Parking was very easy.
