"This hotel was outdated, dirty window and parking was tight. We wouldn't stay there again. Everything was old, A cupboard that said, cool me which should have had a fridge in. There was nothing there. No spoons with the tea and coffee. No-one would want to stay more than one night. Sorry I am so negative but we were thinking of staying at a travelodge and decided to stay there thinking we would be staying at a hotel. Unfortunately this wasn't a bit like a nice hotel."

"Beautiful place, lovely and clean with helpful staff. Perfectly located, right next to bars and entertainment venues. Free parking was a major draw for me but the included bread, milk, fruit, croissants, tea/coffee and orange juice was a great bonus! I had a comfortable night's sleep with a good shower in the morning. Would absolutely stay here again! I would much prefer being given the code via message though for self check-in but the staff were really helpful either way."

"We never ate at the hotel it was less expensive elsewhere. Can’t complain except towels need to be renewed. Also hand soap would be nice. Room noisy in the morning because of traffic. Staff should greet customers coming in and out of hotel it’s part of your job!"

"If you want to stay in a small characterful boutique hotel in a very pleasant area of Cheltenham then look no further. The hotel has a very welcoming feel and all members of staff we met were really helpful and pleasant. The hotel has a really lovely lounge area and if we were staying longer, I would have definitely used it as a quiet reading spot, likewise the small courtyard area adjacent to the restaurant. We stayed in Room 14 which was on the top floor of the hotel. As there is no lift, probably not the best room for someone with mobility difficulties as the stairs are quite steep, although this wasn’t an issue for us and the room was beautiful. We also liked the personal touches in the room of the port, biscuits and biogs of the main members of staff. But the stand out factor of our stay was the food. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were exceptional. I don’t normally have three courses but couldn’t resist the scallops with pea purée, followed by fillet steak and finally a rhubarb soufflé. Breakfast was also a triumph. So huge thanks to both chefs - you certainly delivered and we would definitely recommend you. All in all the hotel made our stay in Cheltenham and I would definitely recommend it."

"We stayed in one of the hotels premier suites. It was too big! The decor and design were dated and the lighting and airconditioning problematic. The huge bed had sheets that weren't fitted and the bedspread wasn't very clean and had hairs and dust in evidence. The shower was brilliant and it had 2 baths in the room The door lock jammed when we returned for our second nights stay and the staff took 20 minutes to let us in, but were excellent in giving us free drinks while we waited in the bar. Parking at the hotel is minimal and we paid for 2 days in advance at £10 per day. On the second day there was no room in the hotel car park, due to a wedding at the hotel. They refunded the second days parking charge. Overall not a stay we will repeat."

"Great place to stay if you need to be close but not too close to the town centre. The room was very spacious and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and had a great shower, hot and powerful. We asked for alternative milk which was supplied in the breakfast room. If you want to be close to the centre (5 mins walk) then i would recommend the Portland Guest House"

"Amazing location. Great room. Only issue was the milk in the fridge was off. Nice touch of providing teas etc and milk. But please check expiry date next time. Also please add clearer instructions for pre booking the parking space. Thanks"
