"We chose Holyhead because it’s close to South Stack (incredible scenery, and lots of birds - and baby birds!), and Newborough (we didn’t end up going there, but it sounds beautiful). Holyhead itself is a bit run down, and not a tourist destination, more of a pass-through place according to the locals. But The Hut was close to Market Street with pubs, restaurants and grocery stores, and an easy walk from the train station. We managed to get a taxi to South Stack (there aren’t a lot of them),...

Downstairs log burner is excellent, but only used the one upstairs in the living room once as it used a lot of wood for not much heat. Bring your own logs as there are none at the property. "We are just home after having a lovely weekend here. There was 10 of us so it was perfect, a great place we loved the space it gave us all with having the 2 living areas. They are both well equipped and comfortable, a real home from home with plenty of space outside to relax. Its great base to explore the island."
