Rockside, Trearddury Bay

With its spectacular headland setting, Rockside is a dream house with fantastic sea views and sets the standard for luxury holiday homes. It comfortably caters for larger groups, with plenty of space wherever it matters, including at the large dining table. A truly unique seaside location with its own headland, fire pit, hot tub and small pebble beach.

Ground Floor

Open-plan kitchen diner
A very sociable, open-plan sitting/kitchen/dining area, with bay windows looking out over the sea and headland. The extensive and very well-equipped kitchen with seating at a large island, leads on to two spacious seating areas both with terrific views.

Sitting Room
Across the hallway from the main living space, is a more intimate snug sitting room, with a free-standing wood burning stove as the centrepiece and, again, great views.

Games Room/Snug
A separate snug/playroom with its own smart TV, log burner, table football and lots of different board games.

Other Rooms
There is also a utility room and a boot room.

Bedroom 1
Great views across the headland and bay from the comfort of a superking bed. En-suite bathroom fully equipped with a bath, separate shower and WC and sink.

Bedroom 2
A spacious twin bedroom

Family Bathroom
Bath with shower over and WC.

Cloak Room x 2
There are two WCs on the ground floor.

First Floor

Bedroom 3
A spacious superking bedroom, with its own en-suite, occasional chairs and more stunning sea views. The bathroom has a shower and WC.

Bedrooms 4 & 5
Two twin bedrooms with yet more gorgeous views across the bay.

Bedroom 6 - Master
This superking bedroom really is a gem, with its own bathroom, dressing room, balcony and sea views from every window.

Outside
The outside is as amazing as the inside - Rockside comes with its own decked area on the top of the headland - a great spot for a sundowner. There is also a hot tub, fire pit with seating, lots of parking and its own small pebble beach.

The Local Area
From Rockside it’s just a short trip to South Stack, a stunning lighthouse accessible via 400 steps down the headland. There is an RSPB visitor centre and cafe next door. For adrenaline junkies, Trearddur Bay and the surrounding area offer some of the country’s best “coasteering” (for the uninitiated, a form of coastal scrambling/swimming in wetsuits), and for those a little less adventurous the area is renowned for its sea kayaking. As with all of coastal Anglesey, there is the beautiful coastal footpath from which to explore the rugged coast line of the island. Although there are many dining-out options nearby, we can also arrange for an in-house chef to provide stylish in-house dining.

What a brilliant property, so well appointed, equipped and situated. Felt like the owners wanted it to be used….with due respect. The kitchen was very well equipped and a great area for socialising whilst meals were being prepared. Really enjoyed the table football and table tennis. All the bedrooms were great and the master bedroom fantastic-we hosted drinks on the veranda of the bedroom at sunset. Easy access to the beach, dog walks and some lovely cafe/deli/bars locally. The hot tub was an amazing experience. The fire pit a great centrepiece and the sunsets were truly spectacular. Just a great, homely, welcoming property ideal for a large family gathering. Thank you.

I am writing on behalf of my daughter in law who booked Rockside for a week over Christmas. We had a fabulous stay with the children and grandchildren. The owners have excelled themselves in every aspect and we would definitely recommend Rockside for its space, position, and its ability to house three generations with absolute comfort. A perfect ideal home for everyone. The grandchildren loved the hot tub every evening! Kind regards The Sharples/ Rooney Families

Myself and my husband Andrew have been to Trearrdur many times before, and decided to introduce our friends to this stunning place. On the occasion of my 60th birthday there were 11 of us and 2 dogs and they all were blown away by the property and the location. We all agreed that Rockside for us had the best views in the bay. We were so fortunate with the weather too slightly breezy but sunshine every day. I picked the house for its location and the views, the closeness to the bay whilst not been in the centre of it. But mainly for how the house would work for us as a group. We have been away as a group for special occasions before and know what works for us as a group and as individuals. The house is fantastic in that there is plenty of space for everyone to if they want do there own thing and as mostly happened spend time together as a group in the stunning kitchen dining living room area. On the Sunday we had Harri from Happy Fig come over and cook us a three course meal which as you can imagine was a stunning evening and experience for us all. I expected our friends to fall in love with Trearrdur and the island especially staying in such a stunning property with such stunning views and that’s exactly what’s happened they all love the bay the island and all say they will return. I’m now going to mention some points now that in no way took away from our enjoyment one of the pictures shows a hamper and bottle of champagne with a brown hessian bag which I thought was going to be nice to receive when we arrived it wasn’t there , we did receive items for the washer and dishwasher I know there are a lot of bathrooms but and I know it’s not a hotel but shampoo and shower gel would have been nice as people were having to borrow till they got there own. A couple of guests noticed that some of the painted surfaces need attention especially skirting boards etc I think all the toilet roll holders were loose and in the dining room in the corner the paint was flaking quite badly. I think like in a new build it would be a good idea to go through each room and do a snagging list or is it due a refresh. There for us was an issue with the front door from the outside especially it was either locked and needed a key to get in or it was off the latch and open which was an issue when bringing things in especially when trying to keep dogs in. I asked for the two single beds on the bottom floor to be made up to a double and I had an issue with the children’s pictures in the main bedroom to be removed both of which didn’t happen. I didn’t mind the family pictures in the rest of the house but one of the party had an issue with the family pictures in the kitchen diner and put them away. We also couldn’t properly work out the Sonos speakers in the dining area at one point the music came out of tv we would of brought our own Bluetooth speakers as we like to have music on as a few of our group are dancers.I understand this is a family home but some people want to believe for the time they are there it’s theirs, as I said at the start these issues in no way took away our enjoyment and would happily return to this fantastic property. If you need any further explanation I would be happy to chat about anything I have put in my review.
