"We wanted to make the most of our time whale watching at St. Vincent’s Beach, and the Edge of Avalon Inn was the closest hotel in the area. Our experience was extremely positive from start to finish. After a fairly long drive, we arrived a little earlier than expected and had not had a chance to eat beforehand. Beth kindly opened the dining room for us and served us sandwiches, which we greatly appreciated. This level of kindness was consistent throughout our stay, as the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and cheerful. We would especially like to mention Janet, who stood out for her thoughtful attention to our allergies and went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of. The service was truly first class. Our room was clean, comfortable, and a good size. A small fridge in our room was very much appreciated to keep our drinks cold. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The only thing missing for us was the capelin roll - and the team at the Edge of Avalon Inn was so efficient and attentive that we almost thought they might be able to command Mother Nature as well. We are planning our next year visit at the Edge of Avalon Inn."

"The cabin was perfect for the two of us. The layout was such that we did not feel cramped at all. It was very well stocked, so there was nothing we needed that we did not find, even bandaids.The location was great, the area was so peaceful and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We also really appreciated having access to a washing machine, and the clothes line. We had noticed in a previous review that there were no clothes pins so we had brought some, but we were pleased to see that there were some. Nice to see that the owner pays attention to comments.All communications were prompt and clear. Gerald was a pleasure to deal with and we would definitely return and recommend this very sweet and cozy cabin."

"The house is on Harbour Street overlooking the water with excellent views out the front windows. There are four good sized bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen, a large table in the eating area and a cozy room with a large tv and plenty of seating. Everything was freshly painted, comfortable and clean. There was coffee and tea provided and a nice treat in the fridge to welcome us. We had a great stay and would go back again if we revisted the Irish Loop."
