"Arrived late and was greeted by friendly staff. Slept late and went for breakfast but it was past time. The staff made sure I got access to some milk and yogurt. Awesome! Stayed five nights and it was a great staging area for the national parks I visited."

"Although the motel is old, it could be better maintained. The bathrooms could be better cleaned, but the rooms overall were fine. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fresh made. Parking convenient. "

The shower water never got hot during our visit, which was especially frustrating after noticing this had already been mentioned by a previous guest, so it appears to be an unresolved issue. Noise was another major problem. Even on nights without live music in the restaurant, the volume and commotion from staff was excessive and made it very difficult to rest or sleep. The check-in/access instructions were also vague and unclear, making entry to the room unnecessarily frustrating upon arrival. To make matters worse, despite staying four nights, the room was not serviced a single time. For the price and expectations of a multi-night stay, basic housekeeping and attention to guest comfort should be standard. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not stay here again."

"This house was great for the two of us. We used it as a base for exploring Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. Our only issue was that one heard outside noises quite easily; in particular, we heard the nearby rooster crowing at all hours of the day and night (2:30 am, 3:00 am, etc.). Power went out once, and our host checked in by phone a few minutes later. All in all, a very good experience."

"Great location is about the only good thing of my stay. Had to wash the cover when I arrived because there was food and hair on the cover. The bath tubs do not drain so you will stand in a foot of water. The kitchen table was sticky. It appeared like the cleaning service just made beds then left."
