New, clean but far from CBD

New, clean but small and too far from main business centres. Staff are helpful. there are few restaurants around the hotel (not much choices compares to shopping districts). However, I understand that MTR station is currently under construction not far from the hotel, once the project finished, I believe public transport should not an issue (but is still far from main shopping centres in HK island).

Modern, mooi hotel net iets buiten het centrum

Prima hotel voor een stedentrip naar Hong Kong. Iets buiten het financiële centrum, maar vlak bij het eindpunt van het oude trammetje waarmee je in 20 minuten bij het metrostation Central bent. Een erg leuke manier om de stad op verschillende tijdstippen van de dag te zien Goed ontbijt met ruime keuze en prima bediening. Mooie moderne kamer met prima matrassen.

Excellent Service- Western Disrtrict

Very good service, courteous and attentive staff. Shuttle takes you to MTR which is great! But tram is 2 blocks away. Many restaurants within walking distance. There was no rest available in the hotel because of remodeling. Room is modern and clean, bed very comfortable but bit small even for one person. But definitively would stay there again.

Stayed here for one night stopover before heading back to the States. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous.

Excellent hotel except for location

Everything about this hotel is excellent except for the location which can be easily solved with more frequent shuttle bus to the nearest MTR station. Not sure if it's due to the size of the room but I was woken up by any activity in the toilet which is located just behind the bed. Otherwise, it's a cute and cosy little hotel.

Stay at Dorseet Regency

Dorset Regency is a newly opened hotel and hence the facilities are new. Our rooms are tastefuly done in modern Victorian style in grey and white. The rooms are of standard HK size but amenities are adequate. We booked two rooms for our family of 4 and everyone finds the stay comfortable though my husband complained that the bed was too soft for him. We had a good deal and the rooms came with pretty decent buffet breakast. Absolutely value for money. The location is not near any MTR stations but there is complimentary freeshuttle tocentral station and furthermore, the tram is just round the corner. Taxis and buses galore. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and my husband is considering booking this hotel for his coming business trip.

Good option in Kennedy town

Dorsett Regency is very good choice if you look for upper class accommodation. Only disadvantage is that MTR is about 3 km from hotel but you can get there easily by bus or tram - as well as with hotel own free transport. Free WiFi available and good breakfast. Rooms are bit small - but it is normal in Hong Kong. MTR extension to Kennedy town should be ready end of 2013.

Ok hotel - lidt uden for centrum

Et tilfredsstillende hotel med gode værelser og en super service og morgenmad. Anbefalelsesværdigt på trods af at man altid skal have taxa til centrum. Hyggeligt område hvor gode spisesteder også findes.

下町歩きが好きな方はぜひ。

中心地や観光スポットからは遠いので、時間がない方には不便かもしれませんが、時間があって下町の雰囲気が好きな方や街歩きが好きな方にはおすすめです。トラムの駅から歩いてすぐなので、トラムに乗って、上環（地下鉄駅・マカオフェリーターミナル）や中環（地下鉄駅）に一本です（トラム代は４０円くらいです）ただ、地下鉄と違い、車渋滞の中進みますので、地下鉄の最終駅・上環から３０分くらいはかかりますが、トラムの２階から香港の日常風景が眺められて、私には楽しい時間でした。

Gutes Hotel für Geschäftsreisende (Messe)

Wirklich gutes Stadthotel, schön gelegen unterhalb des Peaks. Messe ist mit TAxi gut erreichbar, ansonsten im Viertel alles geboten. Frühstück überraschend gut. Pool ist ein Fake, also den gibts nicht...eher ein Planschbecken ohne Genehmigung der Stadt. Aber als Ausgangspunkt prima.

2nd time to H/K ..this time whilst being out of town was initially cause for concern that was quickly overcome on arrival by ease of this fabulous cheap transport system...ding dings 2.3h/k irrespective of how far u go.. Buffet Breakfasts...varied and plentiful ..staff magically prompt and always courteous..would stay here again.

Cheap hotel, clean rooms, small rooms even for HK

Rooms are very small, but clean. The rooms on their website are the more expensive ones as when I asked if all the rooms were so small, they said that only their best rooms were on the site. I was originally put in a very high room, which because of the small size felt very claustrophobic. The staff were very accommodating when I asked to move to a lower floor, which made the small room slightly better. The twin room was fine for one person, but would have been quite squashed for two. I did have some issues with noise and smoking from other guests, more their fault than the hotel's though. Breakfast was included, but I gave it a miss most morning. The first time I tried it, there was hair in the yoghurt and ants crawling on the bread! I commented on this at reception and they seemed aware of the problem and I didn't see anything too unhygienic again. However most of the food was processed, and an uninspiring random collection. Kennedy Town is a bit of a trek from the MTR (definitely not a "short walk"), but the shuttle bus is good, although I was surprised there was nothing earlier than 9am as this does not suit business guests. All in all the hotel was good for the price, nice to find a HK hotel that included wireless, but breakfast was disappointing.

Absolutely worth its price

i stayed at Dorsett for 2 nights and my overall experience was very good because 1) It is quite a new hotel 2) Very Good value for money in terms of its star rating 3) The staff are very helpful and nice 4) Location is just 10 min by cab from central and also the hotel provides hourly free transfers from the hotel to the central 5) The wireless was pretty decent 6) There is a safe/locker in the room.. The area is kennedy town, which is ofcourse not a posh location but then its is one of the oldest hong kong areas and there are teeny good restaurants and eat outs nearby which infact I found to be better than Soho. Cheers!

very convenient location

over all i must say that its good the things that we were not satisfied is the tv channels so limited and the language available mostly in chinese..very poor wifi connection...the restaurant that says poolside is not open we were expecting to have a very special dinner at the poolside but we were just told its closed... the food is very expensive and the breakfast is just always the same every morning...

Feel like back here

少し不便な立地でタクシーもつかまえにくいですが、また戻って来ました。新しく清潔で快適。内装が可愛い。スタッフもあたたかく、朝食も美味しい。総合的に値段のわりにはとても良いと思います。ちょっとOld Hong Kongな周りの雰囲気も結構好きです。 Far from station or city area (HKD40 from Sheung Wan station) but new & clean, comfortable. cute interior decoration. Warm staff, good BF. High cost performamce. Liked "Old Hong Kong" atmosphere outside hotel. Often coming to HK for buz trip, and often feel like back here.

Great Value

The staff were incredible and always attentive: very helpful...could not have done any more to make my stay better. The hotel is a little further from certain attractions than you might be led to believe, and it is not within walking distance of most attractions. Cabs are the way to go, and they are not expensive and get you everywhere safely.
