Great place! The place is 100% accurate to the description and photos. The host was excellent and kept in touch throughput the process to make sure our check-in went smoothly. The location is perfect, with great food trucks just a short walk away. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book again.
Larry was a great host! He was available when we needed him or had questions. We had everything we needed within walking distance or rode bicycles. Everything was perfect! Pool and deck area was wonderful, room was clean!
The area is very convenient without being in the craziness of Waikiki. Very clean and well maintained. Check in was super easy and the host was always available. Will definitely recommend to my friends when the come to visit. The only down side was the pool was closed for repairs but ocean isnt that far way.
We rented a car from 808smartcars.com which we could park there for 25 a day. It worked out great. The air conditioner kept the entire room comfortable.
We stayed at Larry’s apartment for six nights. It was well furnished and comfortable. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again.
So great condo, everything there as listed, with lots of towels. The host responded quickly. Wifi was fast. Close to the convention center, and room was reasonably quiet. The bakery near lobby was so great, and food trucks were across the street. Highly recommended it.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Badly in need of TLC. Laminate flooring, table, baseboards, dresser all swelled from water. “Sofa” badly stained. I (6ft) cold not stand in most of the shower as my head would touch the ceiling, and the shower head was even lower. Oven did not work-waiting for part…? A/C loud and aimed directly at bed. Listing says parking was 25/24hrs, nope try 50! 45 if u book multiple days. Decent area, nice 10 minute walk to the beach/food/shopping.
This condo was easy to get to from the airport with ride share, located conveniently in Honolulu for those who are willing to walk about .5-1 mile to go out, and check-in and check-out instructions were easy and clear. This condo is 0.6 miles from a slightly less crowded beach than Waikiki Beach. There are many shopping and food options within 1 mile toward the Waikiki Beach area. We easily walked between the condo and shops/restaurants/the beach multiple times each day, and frequently took ride shares for less than 5-8 (tip) when needed. We rented a car from Enterprise, from a short walk away, for our first full day to drive around the east side of the island to the North Shore. I highly recommend renting a car for one day to drive around the island if you stay in Honolulu. Parking at the condo was easy- 45 for 24 hours (other rates for other time lengths). It was also easy to take the public transportation from the condo to Pearl Harbor. The bed was as clean as a hotel's and comfortable, but the other furniture had fabric stains. A/C worked well. We did not go to the condo's affiliated pool or use the laundry. Beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel and goggle equipment provided in the closet. The host was friendly and prompt in the few communications required.
The place was very nice to stay at. It was well maintained and cleaned. It was close to the beach and downtown. The owner quickly replied to any questions and concerns we had.
This place was in a great location. We were in the middle of shopping, the beach, and we had tons of wood options which was great! Condo itself was pretty clean and it had most of the things we needed for our stay. The host provided detailed check in instructions, making the check in process super easy. The host was also very responsive whenever we reached out with a question! Overall it was a good stay.
excellent conmunications with owner, complete with enough coffee, toilet paper, towels etc. for the stay. relatively close to waikiki main streets without having to pay and find extra parking.
Host was awesome. Good communication, helped us arrive an hour earlier than expected. Property is ok. Bed was comfortable, location is good. Not the cleanest but it was what we expected for the location and price. Air conditioner was loud, but kept the room cool. Beach chairs came in handy.

Great Value & Location
The room was perfect for me and the bed was super comfy. There were necessary toiletries in the room like paper towels, hand soap and toilet paper. I liked how close I was to shopping and the view from the room was beautiful, even at night time. The property manager Larry is very helpful and responsive.
This sweet condo was a great home base for us. The kitchen made having breakfast in the condo easy. Location is close to the beach and shopping areas. Walking distance to Convention Center (we didn't go there for anything, just noticed). Place is clean and well appointed with beach towels, sunscreeen, bogie board, snorkle equipment and a vaccum to clean up the sand that will follow you home.
Accommodation matched the images and the owner was very responsive to all communications. Location is fine, just a little too far from both the Ala Moana center or the Waikiki strip, but we just used the buses.
Was great having beach towels, beach umbrella and seats available to use. Would be great to have a few more kitchen items just to make the stay easier.
The bed was very comfy, the room was hot but the air con worked well.
Thanks for the stay!
I was a little disappointed with how the property was maintained. There were a lot of scuffs on the wall and a couple of unpatched holes in the wall, and although this did not affect our vacation, it was just kind of disappointing. The outlet in the kitchenette did not work for us. The shower is short. If you are over 6 feet like my husband, you will have to duck in order to shower. Also, there were a pair of black socks in the box in the closet (presumably from a prior renter). The bed was sagging in one of the corners - it seems to not fit the bed frame properly. Also, two things I know were not in the control of the property manager: (1) the elevators were very slow and took a long time to get to our floor, and (2) the hallways were very stuffy. The positives were the walkability to the shops, and the AC that worked really well.

Excellent Location
My first impressions of this building was not great. But after getting rested up, I appreciated the condo. The building itself makes you feel like you are walking into a run down apartment but the condo itself is clean and everything is there you need. Location is excellent. No problems in checking in. The bed was super comfy to sleep in however the couch was very hard. We were a family’s of 3 and had to use the sofa. The pictures that are shown are very accurate. I appreciated the security measures in this building as well. Lots of restaurants around if you need a quick bite to eat. There is also beach chairs and towels provided which made things very convenient.
Thanks Larry for everything I would definetly rent your condo again.

HAWAIIAN MONARCH HOTEL 29th Floor
Owner Larry Wennick deserves 5 stars for his outstanding customer service! He was always available to answer any questions, was very helpful, considerate and accommodating. His condo on the 29th floor (2908-A) is EXACTLY as pictured, and has a wonderful view of the town and mauka (toward the mountains). Condo was clean, had beach towels, beach chairs, cleaning supplies, basic kitchen necessities and supplies, and the bathroom had a blow dryer. I LOVED the instant hot water shower.
My only negative comments are the fact that it costs $25 a day to park a car in the privately owned parking next to the hotel/condominium. Also, the hallways and elevators are not air conditioned, which can be uncomfortable, (having nothing to do with the condo owner), but the A/C unit in the condo works very well.
The Cream Pot French style restaurant downstairs has delicious food. And there are 3 more little shops/restaurants on the lobby level and a Japanese restaurant on the lower level. A 7-Eleven store is just south of the hotel. Tony Roma’s, Ala Moana Blvd, Kalakaua Avenue are just a few steps outside the hotel. There are many shops, restaurants and stores within walking distance. The beach is about a 10 min walk. The hotel/condo is located on the west end of the Ala Wai Canal and just east of McCully.
Thank you Larry, for helping to make my nearly two week vacation/high school renunion trip to my former home on Oahu a very pleasant one.

We tried to do our part reading many reviews before choosing a place to stay. We feel quite shocked that this place had so many good reviews. We chose to stay here because of the rating and it had a kitchen. The kitchen is poorly stocked, has 2 pots one with a loose handle, few dishes, nothing that can be used in an oven and no cutting board. I contacted the landlord and asked if he could bring a baking sheet, he responded right away saying there was no baking sheets or dish that could go in the oven because no one had asked for one? He did end up bringing one that didn't was too large and didn’t fit in the oven. When you turn on the hot water in the kitchen there is a very loud grinding sound. The microwave above the stove doesn't work so there is one on the counter that takes up half of your counter space. I am quite short about 5'3 and the shower head is about an inch above my head and the ceiling is close above that. The furniture is peeling, there is an outlet under the TV that doesn't have an outlet cover on it, plus a bunch of cords hanging down from the TV. I own a rental property and have stayed in many, this was by far the worst. I felt extremely mislead that anyone would say this was a 5 star. The only positive is the bed was very comfortable. The location was close enough to the main strip but still quite a walk to the beach. The pool/ pool area at the building was also nice.
