"Very good location. Very friendly staff. We had food in the restaurant and it was very yummy and very big portions which was good. The room was clean and there was plenty of amenities in the room. The only bad thing for us was that there was a live band on till very late (well after 10:30pm) we couldn’t get to sleep after a long day of hiking. The bar doesn’t stop serving until 12 we were informed and that apparently they do a lock in for the locals. We left the hotel as we couldn’t sleep with the music being so loud. "

"Nice sized clean rooms. The window in our first room was broken (222) so we changed. The road noise is loud in the ones at the front. Nice shower and comfy bed. The breakfast was disappointing, thy need more staff as there were no clean/empty tables when we arrived, no plates when we went to the buffet, and small selection of food on. The couple of staff that were working were run off their feet. Other than the noise it’s a good location to stay."

"We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. The radiator also didn’t work for the whole duration for the stay and as it was a rainy day we struggled having no heating or hot water. Half way through getting ready to go out on the second night the electricity went out and we were in total darkness. We were given an apology and was told one nights stay would be refunded, they then only sent the money for half of that night and have been ignoring all correspondence since."

"Brilliant location, quiet and peaceful, very large semi enclosed garden (the border collie loved it). Ryecroft was warm and cosy, the furniture was very comfortable and the double bed was excellent. To walk the nearby hills we just had to step out of the door they were so close. We would have liked another saucepan. It was great value for the money and we would love to return next year. We recommend Ryecroft for a relaxing holiday."
