Very modern, fresh and with a lot of well thought it details. Love the fact that one can check-in and check-out entirely on the tablets at reception, even procuring the room keys. The breakfast is the weakest link in an otherwise great experience. Reduced choices, no hot breakfast (other than 'boil your own egg'), no decaf coffee... Easily solvable, but a shame they haven't done this already. Easy parking, although it can get really full if you go ou and get back late. Overall highly recommended, with a few minor hiccups.

Good hotel and good facilities on site and a sound base for lots of walking in the area. Charged me again and more than the actually booking was on check in though. So had to arrange to get that refunded

Stopped over after a day of hiking. Parking to rear of hotel. Easy self check-in. Room was very clean & comfortable. The communal lounge area offered complimentary drinks & cake. Breakfast was ok. Would definitely book again if im in the area.

Sadly, the EV chargers didn't work, and every staff member under the age of 25 looked like they really didn't want to be there. It took the shine off our dinner, bearing in mind we are only 27 and 28, and have worked similar jobs ourselves - but it was very noticeable and off-putting. Loved the dog friendliness of the place and how accommodating it was to outdoorsy folk. Will come back for sure.

Fantastic hotel - Would definitely recommend.

Stayed at the Bike and Boot for an overnight walking break. This hotel is fabulous. 100% dog friendly with complimentary treats, dog bed, towell and even a toy. The whole place is spotlessly clean which is rare for somewhere that allows dogs. All staff were super friendly from the man at check in to the night porter - nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are lovely - clean, modern and spacious. The perfect place to stay if planning a walk in the beautiful peak district. We will definitely be back.

First time staying at the Bike and Boot. Really impressed. Vibe is kind of youth hostelly but in a very good way. Great retreat room with free coffee and tea plus cake for post walk or post ride. Rooms were great as were all the staff. Only slight criticism was the breakfast. It was fine but not included in our room rate so the £12 per person charge was high. Location was great for walks and rides. Overall though, a great place to stop in the Peak District.

Dont use hotels.com

I will never book via you again...the hotel was great but you rip people off...its far cheaper to book direct and ive finally realised that after being a good customer. Your lose and its effected me that much i will look at all review options and spead the word. Contacted customer services and was treated worse than ive ever experienced.

Clean hotel, good sized rooms and a great simple check in and check out process using an internal system. Very close to everything that we were visiting, so top marks on location too. I also really enjoyed the wine that we had with dinner. The food options looked good, but we ordered the wrong options. My wife, a Mac and cheese that was very watery and did not contain much of the added on ham, and my mussels were steamed in water rather than cooked in what I thought would be garlic and tomato. Onion rings were great though, and I see this as our mistake for not asking about the dishes beforehand. The service during dinner was good too. Improvement can be made on very simple things. Breakfast, we had to ask for teaspoons. We could overhear other people joking about this and others walking around unsure on where to find them or to ask, as it's something that everyone requires for their hot drinks in the morning. No plates at the station when there were 4 members of staff, with 3 available to check. Again, had to ask and another visitor thanked me for this as he was standing there waiting. No sauce on the table or at the station, again, had to request this. Neither of these I class as a major negative, but offer as advice for improvement for the benefit of other visitors.

Okay might be a bit harsh, but wouldn’t stay again, not for me. Self check in out, signs saying add your car Reg to a terminal for parking, but you don’t need to do now as they have taken the camera’s down….great but take the signs down also! Charge extra £15 for early check in so avoid if you can Given the whole hotel is dog friendly is good, but still charge £15 extra per dog per night, and only provide a thin mat, no bowls - although had brought my own Room clean, std was big enough, all very new and functional. Had a lunch which was ok. Breakfast was all buffet limited basic choice, area was very messy. Good position for the Peak District. Just not for me again a bit much style over substance
