Overlook Lodge at Bear Mountain
10/10 Excellent
"Bear Mountain Inn and park has an old world charm to it. Staff was very helpful, rooms were clean and well kept. I felt like a kid again, riding the carousel and walking along the lake to the zoo and swimming in the pool nearby. We didn't get a chance to hike, but will be back to tackle that soon!"

"The New Paltz Hampton Inn is a very nice property for the price. Very clean. Decent beds/pillows. Nice personnel throughout - at the desk and also those I met in the elevator! Good (and included) breakfast. I would recommend a stay here if you need a place to stay around New Paltz."

"The lobby smells GREAT, especially by the elevators. This was my second time staying here. I asked the front desk to change a $20 bill so I could give a tip to the housekeeping staff, and they said they didn’t have change (nor did the restaurant)! I’ve never heard of that. I felt terrible to not give the housekeepers a tip (they deserve it and work hard). Bed is comfortable, pillows are great, shower is good too (and toilets have jet-flush)."

"Generally a Nice hotel with a great restaurant. Sound does travel between rooms and from the hallway which isn't a plus. Morning breakfast was very limited and coffee was bitter."

"Beautiful, spacious room. Old-fashioned in the best of senses. The bar is an excellent place for a single traveler to get a meal as well as a drink. The full restaurant menu is available in addition to a bar menu, and the bartenders are engaging."
