"My brother and I had a spacious family room which was clean and refreshed every day. Bunk bed wasn’t good for an adult but probably fine for kids. Room was warm and shower was strong. Staff were very friendly and helpful in the pub on an evening. Nige was chatty and especially helpful with parking our motorbikes overnight No breakfast included or available, sadly, but a good choice of evening pub grub. Be mindful of long waits on busy weekends."

"In a lovely quiet village off the beaten track. Rooms are large and comfortable. Main issue was with the outdoor light which was not blocked out by the blinds. Restaurant food is excellent however breakfast was disappointing. The granola and fresh fruit featured only half a strawberry! Free electric car charger was a big bonus. In better weather the outside terrace would have been delightful."

So, I was left standing there with my bags with other customers trying to get past me to order drinks - until somebody else turned up. "Wonderful room, very spacious and cool. Yes air conditioning goes a long way these days for the beginning of an English summer. Breakfast was also quite nice, it was freshly cooked and generous. If I’m ever headed down this way again, I’ll be sure to stay again. "

"This is a very beautiful little pub. The rooms are all unique and have their own charecters. Staff are really friendly. The continental breakfast is delivered in a picnic basket outside your room or you can have a cooked breakfast in the bar. Parking via car park is right outside and shopping is just a short walk away "

"Room itself was perfectly clean. Bed comfortable, shower good and vegetarian breakfast lovely. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was quite noisy until 11pm (when the pub closes, the hand dryer in the pub toilets must be immediately under the bed!) but after 11pm, really quiet all night. Hallways seem to smell of stale smoke (which is odd given how long it's been banned for), but the room itself wasn't an issue. This was about half the price friends staying further along the...

"Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room with very comfortable bed and hot bath/shower. The bar restaurant area is wonderfully historic and very atmospheric. The menu is superb and the bar has a good selection of real ales. All in all a very pleasant place to stay."
