"Fantastic place to stay within easy walking distance to rail service's and the river. Room was very spacious with small kitchen and plenty of places to hang clothes. Bed was very comfortable only down side was the plug in the wah hand basin once pushed down to fill sink with water to shave, i didnt know you had to go under the sink and fiddle about with rod's to push the plug back up to allow water to drain away. "Great hotel, location and staff. Issues: - bike storage should have proper racks to give more security to cyclists. We had no issues, but i didn’t feel comfortable leaving my bike at first and you are not allowed to keep them in your room. - i think their ecofriendliness could be improved by leaving soap bars, as ours was swapped with a new one every day even though it had been hardly used."

"It was a 5 day business stay from abroad. It is hard to get around without a taxi or bike. Uber is available but the wait time varies from 15-25 minutes. I had dinner at their restaurant twice. The dinner was great but the service is below average. I found the place to be a bit expensive. The rooms and views were great. I asked for electric kettle to drink hot water but they did not provide and suggested to use Nespresso Coffee Machine which is a bummer. "

"This place is an aging hotel that needs the rooms to be renovated but I think the lower prices reflect that.. My room had a small bit of wallpaper coming loose and the shower head was badly located but other than that it was just dated. It was clean and spacious with a good view of the courtyard.. Plenty of parking on a hard stand surface (not gravel) so I deal for my motorcycle.. we had a good continental breakfast included in the very reasonable tariff.. Overall I would highly recommend this...

"I loved the historical nature of this hotel. It was formerly an orphanage and it has been restored to reflect that. The rooms are small, basically the width of a king size bed, (which was gorgeously comfortable), though there was a shower and sink in the room as well. The toilets are down the hall. The rooms are dead quiet, as you are encased by thick walls. There are a few plaques around the hotel to tell of its former life. "Had an issue with my room where the air con had a slow drip. Spoke to the receptionist, who advised the maintenance was not available so if I wanted to change the room. Was happy to do so and actually gave me a better room than I had. Great customer service! The original room did look a bit run down whereas the new room looked new and well kitted out."
