"Overall an okay stay, our room had a funny smell when we first went in, however we kept being disturbed by door banging in the corridors most of the night as they didn’t have soft closing door hinges on them and the rooms aren’t very sound proof, also not much choice food wise on the menu for anyone who is a fussy eater so had to walk out to find somewhere to eat, also found the hotel quite dark when you walk into reception and not overly appealing, in comparison to other hotels."

"Bed was comfortable, shower worked well, tea making facilities provided.staff friendly, breakfast good. Nice pub, locals welcoming. My rooms TV was broken so owner moved me to another room and offered drinks when another room was not available on my second night. Old pub so floor boards creaky and stairs narrow and steep. "The breakfast was worth having and served 6-10 which was ideal. The accommodation was quite noisy being next to a main road with traffic most of the day and early morning. For anyone visiting with children I would take an extension lead as not enough sockets for the gadgets they might have."

"3 of us booked single rooms for a stay while seeing Iron Maiden at Knebworth. Didn't want to drive from Sheffield and back the same day as the show. We had left it late to book rooms and this was the lowest priced place anywhere within an hour's drive of the gig. Evening meal was excellent, with lots of choices and drinks well priced (actually lower priced than our local pub). Breakfast also good quality and well priced. Staff very helpful.
