1. Charming Little Traditional House with Shared Garden

Hourtin

The village has a tourest information and a small shop. 10 mins drive from Pauillac, 30 mins drive to hourtin Lake which is lovely for a beach day and 10 minutes further to hourtin plage for Atlantic beach town and surfing. Surrounded by amazing wineries and chateaus this pretty house is in a great spot in a quiet village. It has everything you need and the host even left us a lovely bottle of vin rouge. Florence was easy to deal with and very lovely."

Château Ormes de Pez

Saint-Estephe

10/10 Excellent

Our stay at the Chateau was wonderful. We were warmly greeted, given a tour and as hungry travelers in on a Sunday afternoon, given a beautiful cheese plate with warm bread and wine to enjoy in the garden. The chateau itself is beautiful, the grounds are sprawling, surrounded by vineyards, with huge walnut trees all over providing shade, plenty of patios to tuck into and read, a large and clean pool. The room we stayed in was huge and very well decorated, with easily the most comfortable bed...

Le Coeur des Vignes

Pauillac

10/10 Excellent

I stayed in the Douceur Medoquine room and it was large, quiet, and beautifully decorated. The setting is peaceful and next door to the famous Chateau Pichon Baron. The owners, Pascale and Alex, were very helpful, friendly, and hospitable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Uber and taxi service was somewhat unreliable so it is a good idea to have a car. I highly recommend Le Coeur des Vignes.

What a wonderful place. Room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Even a bottle of their wine to enjoy. We used the pool as it was a hot day and we had been walking a lot so it helped our aching legs! Sadly we were only here one night but wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The lady that organized the breakfast was so friendly and looked after everything we wanted. We actually eat it outside and she insisted we had chair cushions and a tablecloth. Absolute perfection. Thank you for...

Château Sénéjac

Le Pian-Medoc

10/10 Excellent

Very authentic chateau experience. The host Pascal so welcoming and helping us book restaurants, wine tours and more. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay and everything he recommended us to do with kids was a huge success! The chateau looks amazing. Recently renovated, but still furnished with authentic furniture. We will go back to chateau Senejac for sure. Did I forget to mention that they produce an amazing wine? Great place to stay.

If you are looking for a quiet countryside experience in the Bordeaux region with some of the most caring and adorable hosts possible look no further. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is always fresh and a great way to start a day of wine exploration in the region, and the overall atmosphere is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The crew that manages the guests are genuinely helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They patiently answered a...
