The front desk staff was very professional. The valet staff was very rude most of the time seemed like they were forced to be there. The rooms are definitely outdated first night ran into certain insects in our room bathroom.

Once you venture past the Lobby and reception areas, the hotel was generally all very tired and a bit scruffy. The Breakfast set up is a total joke, queuing at the bar to order, only one staff member taking orders and making all the coffees etc. After waiting for ages even the food was disappointing.

Pretty sure this place has a mold issue. Room smelled musty and when I woke up in the morning I could hardly breathe. Lobby is pretty, gym is OK but no mats. If you have mold allergies you may want to stay elsewhere. Room was pretty old and worn.

The room was very old, dusty and smelt like mildew. I told the staff and he told me thanks for letting him know. The room was $500 for two nights - only to have to pay $45 more a night for valet and looking at an old room that needs painting remodeling and the mildew smell removed.

We will definitely stay here again when we travel to Houston. Very friendly and helpful staff! Quick response from management to a small issue we had. I can’t really see if there were shops nearby because we drove everywhere surface family. I didn’t see any pets, what I thought was crazy is that you had to pay $45 a night to valet your car also when we did check into a room I had dropped my phone cord on the floor when I went to pick it up in like one halfway under the bed when I pulled it out, there was a pair of dirty underwear under the bed so obviously housekeeping doing their job. We call downstairs They put us in another room but the other room the floor was buckling and the ceiling was peeling so they put us in another room the same thing what’s happening but not that bad so we ended up staying in that room. Manager was amazing. He gave us $60 in vouchers to use in the restaurant/bar in the whole time. We should’ve gotten a free night but it is what it is what I recommended again yes

Overall the staff was incredibly friendly - I was very surprised by one woman at the front desk being rude. The rest of the front desk staff, the valet, the bartenders… everyone else was incredibly helpful & friendly & attentive. The lobby area & outside bar & restaurant were lovely with plenty of room for our family to gather. It’s very convenient to downtown Houston spots. I’ll definitely go back.
