The Carlton Hotel in Hsinchu is a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel in the relatively small but enjoyable city of Hsinchu. The hotel offers very wide room - a luxury that modern hotels do only offer now for an astronomical price - with vintage furnitures (valet stand) that do not compromise with comfort - the bed was wide as well and very comfortable. I noted and used an old style exercise bike on the balcony. All together I keep excellent memories of this hotel.

A reasonably priced hotel in the center of Hsingchu City. Accessible by feet from the local station. The staff is friendly, the room are large and comfortable. Dining options nearby. On the evening I visited, there was a typhoon and it was rainy and windy, still I enjoyed my stay.

Staff are friendly and very responsive. Having laundry options, the gym, a microwave, ice maker, and a lounge area all on the top floor was super convenient. Itโ€™s close to good restaurants and a decent shopping area. The only issue you may run into, is the drive home if youโ€™re working in Science Park. You have to leave by 5, if you donโ€™t want to spend 40 mins taking a 11 min trip.

We stayed 3 nights. Over all was good. Breakfast was great. Fresh ingredients. No on-site parking is the drawback. The shower was hard to get it to the right temperature. The hotel is located at busy city area with traffics. Over all the stay was good.

The hotel is a really outdated. The breakfast has many choices but half of the dishes were not heated well. The room was really stuffy even when I turned the air conditioner to 16C. A bit disappointed in the condition of the hotel.

Carlton used to be quite good condition years back when I stayed. Unfortunately, this time I feel the condition was kinda old, donโ€™t seems to be well maintained. Hygiene wish is acceptable though, and the service by staff are still good and friendly.

I was on a 2 weeks trip in taiwan, this is my 4th hotel stayed & the most uncomfortable hotel. The bed mattress was very hard, backache after 2 nights. During checked in, the staff was very impatient with us. Hotel do not have carpark, public carpark was about 10 mins walk from hotel.
