Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I felt it was a bait and switch from the room sold and the room we were given. After explaining to the staff that we paid for the family connecting room and not a standard room. They moved my family across the hall to a room the was marginally larger and moved a extra beds in. Instead of two rooms with three beds. We got one room with one bed and a mattress on the floor. No refund for the price difference was offered. Their language skills were poor.
The location was nice but the hotel
pictures do not match the rooms i stayed in. Hallways dirty . Old mattresses piled in corners paint peeling broken lamp in room AC remote control not working reception lady not to friendly nor helpful but the breakfast was good
We had a suite on the 6th floor. Great room, but the dinning room was right above us so we were woken early each morning. The room was cleaning daily. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room had 2 balconies. Liocation was great. 2 minute walk to the river and park. 15 minute walk to citadel and markets.. hotel staff were great. Restaurant was open for a huge buffet breakfast but not sure about other meals. Breakfast was wonderful. We were there 5 days and the chef asked us if we wanted Western foods of any kind. Very thoughtful. The room had kettle, coffee, fridge, toiletries including shampoo and body wash. Happily stay there again
This place was a real low point in our holiday - the standard of the hotel is far from what is advertised. The paint is flaking, the mattresses are bare and rock hard, stains on the carpet and furniture, the pool is filthy and you have to walk through a conference room to get to it. We checked out as fast as we could.

Jasmine is right middle of the road
Jasmine is an OK hotel. Like most things in Hue, it is a bit worn from the humidity and rain. Room size is good, bed is OK, comfortable enough. Bathrooms need an update, but tolerable. Buffet breakfast is good and breakfast staff are very nice. Make or break for us was location. Jasmine is in the middle of the backpacker area and very western. If that's your thing great, but if you want a bit more Vietnamese culture I'd pick another area of town. On the up side everything tourists need from rentals to tour planning is nearby if you need it.

Okay hotel :- best thing location
Took less than 10 mins in a taxi from train station for 30dong ( tried to rip me off for 100d at first saying meter was broken) . Booked the suite at the Jasmine for 3nights coz it was cheap enough & like having separate sitting area..... Well like the rest of Vietnam I think they took the photos when hotel first opened so push on 15yrs+ & imagine them now, Things are looking tired. the jacuzzi bath did not work it just flooded the bathroom when you had a normal bath . The pool area looked okay, Breakfast for some reason was Buffett style 2 mornings ( everything was cold tho) & ordered from menu 3rd morning . Location wise was great right in the heart of everything short walk to river cruises & citadel..... Would I stay here again ?? Maybe for price & location but I'd eat breakfast out.
