"We have stayed before and always been happy with the service but when we arrived at the reception we were greeted with a "can i help you" in a very blunt manor. when we said we had a room booked he said very bluntly that " we're not checking any one in" so we asked if we could leave our bags as we were going to the theater so he put them in the back with no problem. while we waited in the reception area while my wife used the toilet several other people were trying to check in and they seemed to be having more luck than us."

"This is a self catering apartment hotel situated in the Old Town right next to Hull Minster and within a 15 minute walking distance of virtually everything including the station. It’s spotless and has a very modern feel with all the amenities needed, ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries etc. Kitchen area has everything including a dishwasher, toaster, microwave, cooker, hob and fridge which has some milk and oat milk sachets. Beds are large and very comfy, the wet room was enormous. There are a couple of very noisy bars near this hotel which go on until late, so windows closed or earplugs (which they supply) is a must if you are not staying out late. Have to say I never noticed the church bells. Only issue with our room was a loose title on the wet room seat. There is a market next door selling street food, fresh fruit etc and a Tesco within a minutes walks Enjoyed our 2 night stay and would definitely go back if we are in the area again"

"Advertised check-in up to 22:00, yet only personned to 19:00. Had to provide my credit card details to use the lockbox. If a corporate booking, I'd have had to stay elsewhere, as I don't know the company credit card details. Otherwise, fine, and good value for money."

"Cannot fault this hotel, the staff were incredible and when I realised late night before I had inadvertently booked the wrong date, as they had availability, promptly replied kindly allowing us to stay on our intended date. As free parking included in our room rate, we were able to park on street directly opposite hotel. We had an amazing suite room, comfiest bed ever, the food in restaurant on evening was first class and good value. The decor and ambience of this hotel were very welcoming creating an eloquent and homely feel. We attended theatre opposite on the evening. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again. There are a number of steps to the front of hotel which may be difficult for persons with mobility issues but didn’t enquire if there is an alternative access."

"Very convenient for parents who send their children to hull university. The room very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is okay."
