"Beautiful, peaceful location and well equipped accommodation for a lovely relaxing stay. Appreciated the attention to detail (for example black out curtains for the door - handy as we were there mid summer when sun doesn’t set). "Hotel Laxa is located by lake myvatn, a little further away from all the farmhouses which puts in a quiet location with views all round of Myvatn and still convenient. The staff at hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. They have a nice bar with quiet places for work and a game room as well. I stayed for 3 nights and loved it, and would highly recommend."

"This is a budget property - almost hostel style (bunch of rooms in a manufactured home unit) with attached bathrooms. It’s surrounded by a camper parking area, a private parking area for cars with sleeping pads on top, … It does not have a front desk staff or free breakfast or even restaurant. It wouldn’t be my first choice. If you are a student, this might work for you."
