Ocean Street Inn on Hyannis Harbor

Ocean Street Inn on Hyannis Harbor

8/10 Good
"Ashley at the desk was AMAZING! She was cheerful, helpful and professional! The room was very nice. Housekeepers absolutely earned the tip we left. A few helpful people: Our tv remote didn’t work. The front desk immediately dispatched a very kind gentleman who fixed the problem quick as a wink. The pool was locked because it’s off-season but a staff member who was passing by cheerfully unlocked it for us and turn the whirlpool on. We greatly appreciate appreciated his help. The biggest issue we had was that our key cards (3) never worked in the gate sensors. Every time we came or went, we had to buzz for help which became tedious for your employees and annoying for us. I don’t know why no one figured out the problem. This issue is the only reason you’re not getting five stars. You can call me petty, but I was an innkeeper in the Berkshires for 13 years. We had 28 rooms and I can guarantee you that if someone had a problem like a key card I would bring a new key card to their room! I happen to be physically disabled, so I wasn’t able to tackle the project myself. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful. You have a great team. Perhaps address the fact that key cards are a major part of guest’s stay. In closing, I think you should seriously reconsider charging a paying guests twenty bucks plus to Park especially in the off-season. Seems like extortion. Most people who come to the Cape come by Car. Honestly, it’s guest extortion."

"We loved our stay at the Sea Crest. The woman at the front desk was enormously helpful and kind during our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. Gorgeous view from the room, beautiful beach. If only it was warm enough to swim in the ocean, it would have been perfect."
