"Absolutely incredible stay at this authentic ryokan. The staff could not have been more helpful. They had several lovely onsen - some public and some private, the private ones didn’t need to be booked and we were able to use one without issue. The food was absolutely amazing - we booked half board and for dinner we were taken to our own room and brought an incredible array of Japanese foods and breakfast was a similar affair. If you are looking for a more local Japanese experience this is the perfect place!"

The meals were truly exceptional and among the most special dining experiences we had during our trip. The hotel is located in a charming little town that feels almost as if it were taken straight out of a movie. The atmosphere, surroundings, and attention to detail made our stay feel very special. "We lived our stay at this very authentic ryokan like hotel. The staff were generous and kind, we were able to book the private onsen for a very reasonable price to accommodate our tattoos and our family going together. The half board was delicious. This is not a luxury stay so much as a real Japanese cultural experience and we had a great time as a family of four USA folk with teens."

"From the very start to the very finish of our stay, my family and I felt so very welcomed. The hotel was extremely clean and orderly. This particular hotel is very cozy. The onsen bath/ ofuro was extremely relaxing, clean, and refreshing. The staff are above and beyond professional and extremely courteous. We will definitely come back to stay at this hotel. We highly recommend this hotel after a long day of hiking and sightseeing."
