Ijevan was Armenia's first Soviet town and even though it and you can witness this just by walking around town and admiring the decaying architecture.

One of my favorite spots in town was this abandoned Ferris Wheel in the outskirts of the city.

"These cosy houses are so cute and we had an amazing stay. The rooms were decorated very nicely and it was such a nice touch to have a breakfast hamper delivered to our house every morning. Taxis to the town were very cheap (£2) "
