We decided to keep an open mind and waited for our room to be prepared, but when we were shown to our room, it was tiny with barely any room for anything but the futons in the middle of the floor. There was mold everywhere and an enormous spider in the closet of a bathroom from the moment we arrived (so house keeping must not have bothered even looking in there). "The property is a delight. The manager, speaks excellent English, and his wife were both so friendly and helpful. The property is in a quiet location near beautiful Sotorua Beach. It is so calm and relaxing. Shimoda is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 30 minute work. There is only one restaurant within easy walking distance and it is excellent. Suggest upgrading to a room with a private outdoor bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay."
