"Rooms were very dated and cleanliness was not at a reasonable standard at all, bed linen was dirty, dust on every surface, walls mouldy and cracked and full of dust. Carpets were dirty with stains and covered in dog hair. Windowsills had dead bugs and dirt on them and beds were very uncomfortable (two single beds pushed together is not a double bed which is what we booked for both rooms) overall it was not a hotel we will be returning to."

"We really like this hotel. Rooms are lovely, spacious, and all you need too. ( the carpet could do with a clean, it did not look its best). Breakfast was brilliant, great choice to suit all tastes. We had a dinner dance and the food was amazing. Staff are very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We will definetly come back. Thank you for a great weekend. Diane & Pete."

"Spotlessly clean rooms and public areas. Very friendly staff. Varied menu choice, reasonably priced. Slightly out of town/city centre, quiet area. Great parking. Would definitely stay here again."

"Stunning room and lots of amenities for the price. Staff at reception very friendly. Good location, parking a bit expensive at 15 a night though and the car park next door is cheaper. Only complaint was when on the second day we requested vegetarian sausages, these did not come and when we asked about them we were told by a staff member that they dont know where they are or if they will come after 40 mins and to try again tomorrow. We did hear someone say there were 2 sets in about 20 min into...

"It is a very peaceful place to stay. The hostess was extremely helpful and was very attentive to our needs. It is a very organic place to stay so be prepared for natural amenities and fresh homemade food. Breakfast was excellent and we were able to choose our dining time and options. Truly a little gem in the Scottish countryside."

"When we arrived at the hotel, there were no rooms even though we had a confirmation from Expedia. I’m currently working to have the fees refunded."
