There are now blinds over the bedroom windows, theres still a slight glow from the outside sign but it wasn't enough to be distracting. The road noise wasn't as bad as I expected, generally we went to bed around 2300 and had no issues as traffic seemed mostly died down by then and the noise didn't wake us in the morning either.
