There were a couple of things that did not match the description of the unit. The unit itself could use a good deep cleaning. It is also in rough shape. The door to the bedroom is badly cracked. There is a big divet in the ceiling above the bed. One of the cabinet doors is marked as broken. The description mentions a charming neighborhood. Our opinion was that is not really charming, it is a bit rough feeling. Homes and yards don't look in good repair. The parking is reached by driving on gravel next to another home and then into an alley. The outside seating area pictured goes to the lower unit not the upper that we rented. The outside seating for the upper is simply two lawn chairs on the back stoop with a view of the garage. There are no directions to use the TV. Other small touches that are included in many of the other units I have rented from VRBO were missing here. The unit is located close to the zoo and the downtown restaurants. We also did walk along the river parkway which was ok.

Gets the job done - but needs work! We stayed here for the Indy Mini, and the location was super convenient—just over a mile from the start line, which made it easy to walk.Cons:The photos in the listing were a bit misleading, as the place was much more worn than expected. The bedroom door looked like it had been kicked in—it was cracked and wouldn’t close at all. In the kitchen, one of the cabinet hinges was broken, and the Keurig leaked water all over the counter and didn’t work properly. The walls throughout were scuffed, stained, and pretty beat up. One leg of the blue futon was detached, so we had to prop it up just to use it. The futons in general are very small and not very comfortable—the green one especially. We booked for two nights but ended up only staying one.Pros:The bed in the bedroom was comfortable. The bathroom was nice, and the shower had good water pressure and stayed hot. The location was a plus if you don’t mind walking a mile or more, and the free on-site parking was convenient.Note: There are tenants in the unit below. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, but as we were leaving and carrying our bags down the stairs, they were hitting the ceiling with broomsticks due to the noise from our footsteps. Unfortunately, the stairs are directly above their unit, so there wasn’t much we could do while moving our belongings down to our vehicle and having to make multiple trips up and down the stairs.

Smaller property, but all essentials inside. Good proximity to Indianapolis Motor Speedway and downtown.

October ‘22

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our 2 year anniversary in October! We loved it! Super roomy but not too big either, it was the perfect size. We walked everywhere because the house was in such a good spot! Will probably stay here again!
