It is a beautiful historic hotel with a fantastic large room and magnificent views. The grounds are well maintained and gorgeous. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The food is delicious. We had the best breakfast of our trip at this location. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to visit Loch Ness.

This is a unique place beautiful grounds we had the executive bedroom which overlooked the garden . The staff is attentive gentle and nice . The food and breakfast included amazing in its quality and presentation .We absolutely adored. 8 min by car to Inverness city

This is a very nice property. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great! Nice big room with comfortable bed. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because our non-smoking room reeked of smoke. I might be extra sensitive, but my nose stuffed and I had throat irritation through the evening. We were so tired when arriving I didnt say anything to staff about it, but some good air fresheners and a thorough fumigating of the curtains seems in order. While having nothing to do with the hotel itself; the stretch of the A82 which this hotel is located along is probably the most treacherous road I've ever driven in my 61 years, including lots of European driving. I would highly suggest getting a ride to the property if you want to stay here!

Stayed in the cottages which were away from the main building in the gardens. It was very well appointed, clean, large and in a wonderful setting. I am looking forward to my next trip to this awesome spot. Very Scottish feel.

Hotel felt very tired, especially considering the cost. Couldn’t use the shower - despite trying every combination the water was scolding hot. Window frame in one of the Junior Suites we booked was rotten, didn’t feel particularly clean. We were disappointed and it didn’t live up to the reviews we had seen on Expedia before we booked.

O hotel tem uma construção linda, jardins magníficos ao menos durante a primavera. É um pouco distante da cidade de Inverness, 10 min. de taxi (mas nós gostamos disso, mais silêncio, mais natureza). Ao entrar percebemos que a instalação está um tanto envelhecida. O carpete velho e com aspecto sujo, as 2 cadeiras na frente do bar realmente manchadas fortemente, as madeiras das soleiras das portas batidas e mostrando a madeira, as cadeiras do restaurante cobertas com capas cinzas envelhecidas e meio folgadas dando este aspecto de velho. O menu do jantar tinha 2 manchas de gordura. A equipe é muito simpática e agradável, procura ajudar se pedirmos alguma coisa mas não tem nenhuma proatividade. Fazem o que é necessário. Mesmo sabendo de minhas limitações de mobilidade não houve ninguém que me ajudasse com as malas nem na chegada nem na saída. O nosso quarto era um espaço maravilhoso, grande e com uma salinha acoplada de esquina dando para as flores do jardim. Ficamos encantados. O banheiro também envelhecido, as madeiras de aglomerado ao lado da pia estouraram em vários pontos. Pia a chuveiro muito bons, toalhas e roupas de cama também. O café da manhã tem um generoso menu, tudo muito bem feito. O jantar é de cozinha tradicional e muito saborosa. Sabem o que fazem e há tempo. No geral achamos a estadia muito gostosa. Estes meus comentários realístico do estado interno envelhecido não tiram o charme agradável da propriedade. É muito gostoso estar hospedado ali.

This is a beautiful property with lovely gardens and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it feel like a true retreat. The beds were very comfortable, and we had high hopes for our stay. We stayed in one of the cottages. While the cottage itself was charming, the upstairs bedroom was quite cramped, stuffy, and uncomfortably hot. The biggest disappointment was that neither the internet nor the television worked during our stay. We discovered the issue ourselves and had to contact staff three separate times before they identified and communicated that there was a hardware problem. As a result, we were unable to watch television or movies, or use the internet to plan the next stages of our trip. What was most frustrating was not the outage itself, but the response. Staff initially seemed unaware of the problem, and there was little sense of urgency or apology once it was confirmed. No alternative solution, compensation, or acknowledgment was offered, and no one asked about our stay when we checked out. This property has many wonderful qualities, and with more attentive customer service and better communication when problems arise, it could provide a much better guest experience. Unfortunately, the lack of internet and television, combined with the staff's response, left us disappointed.

A beautiful building but could do with a refresh on the inside. The sitting rooms were cozy and welcoming but the sofas really needed a clean. Our room was quite dusty, the curtain pelmet had half fallen down and the windows hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. Took the shine off what was going to be the highlight hotel of our Scottish road trip, as it was the most expensive by far. Because of that, it fell short.

My spouse and I are traveling with my senior parents, and the cottage was wonderful. Quietest, latest risers should sleep upstairs though. The breakfast was great, the service was fantastic, and you can park right outside your door.
