No blind and no toilet roll

I stayed here a few years ago and it was fine. This time not so much. No blind in my room, no toilet roll in the bathroom. Mentioned this at reception. Nothing was done about it. For £110 per night I expected better. This property really has gone down hill. Which is to be expected with it being a student accommodation BUT let the prices reflect this.

The room is very nice but heated up overnight and the controls did not seem to work. The bus service was limited so I had to leave on the first bus to ensure I caught my train. I had been staying in Inverness at a nice B and B earlier for the same cost, very nicely presented, near town and I got breakfast so this had far less going for it.

Very basic accommodation and not value for money

Room and bed is very basic and not value for the money they are charging. There is no A/C or fans in the room and all the rooms and corridors are very hot and difficult to sleep on a hot summer day. Campus is relatively new and being developed, but accommodation is around 45 to 50 mins walk from the city centre.

No frills stay.

Difficult to locate had to ask security. Understandably basic room which was clean. The bathroom light & extractor fan automatically engage on entry & lasts 30 mins, noisy at night unable to switch off. Kitchen/tv room pleasant but not sure what I could use & no information regarding nearest shop, bus times etc. Location & view was fine & pleasant walk through grounds into town.

Hostel conditions at hotel prices

Pretty disappointed overall with my stay. Had there been other options when booking last minute I wouldn't have booked. The room had long black hairs all over the floor and bed when I arrived. The sheet was very thin with dirt on it. Issues that had to be fixed like the window getting stuck and the shower tap being stuck on scalding hot. The fire doors whilst adding security, slam loudly at all hours of the night and the window had to be open at all times since the heating was high. The young guy at reception was very nice and tried to fix what he could but clearly run off his feet with a lot to cover. Recommend that management higher better cleaners and set prices at a lower level to match the hostel like conditions.

Usually I would see the reviews on a place like this and rate it well because it's exactly as it's described. I went into this with very low expectations, and they were still not met. Issues with the cards/locks, no garbage bin in the room/bathroom, slamming doors at all hours, bathroom light that doesn't turn off, no handsoap, and the biggest issue of all....insanely HOT!! It was an average/slightly chilly day out so no idea if they cranked the heat or what because there's no logical reason why it should have been that hot. My chocolate bar melted into a puddle on the desk. The fan they supplied felt like it was blowing hot air because of how hot it was and that was with the window wide open letting the cool breeze in. So uncomfortable!

Overpriced for simple basic accommodation

Hot, hot, hot! Yes, mentioned in many reviews, but this building seem to generate their own heat.20c outside, 27c inside, all night. The accommodation is the u diversity accommodation for students, all I can say is poor students, especially how much they have to pay for this small room. Each flat has 6 individual bedrooms with a communal kitchen sitting area. It's easy to find the accommodation, follow signs for building 7. There are 4 blocks of accommodation, reception desk is between building 1 and 2,you can park round the rear then go in the back door. The reception staff are great, walk you to your room. I discovered later on my room could be entered without the room key, but I just put the deadbolt on. The room is small, the bed, you can hear every spring twang, very thin sheet, no mattress protector, put the two pillows together and you might make one normal pillow. There is a thermostat on the wall that is for display only, it does nothing. It was 27c in the room, my car said at the time it was 21. The blind on the window, the cord was broken, could move it up and down a wee but but that was it. They supply a fan in the room, all it does is move hot air about. No TV in the room, there is one in the common area, it's so basic, no linking to your phone for screen sharing and you get a stiff neck having to watch the top of the wall where it has been mounted. The sleep was poor, so hot. Take a single sheet, duvet too hot. For what it is, it is way too expensive.

its fair to say we won't be staying again. Points to take away from this experience. students running around shouting in the early hours of the morning doesn't help when you have a hard day ahead of you. sharing a kitchen with the students. If you decide to rent out rooms you have to have the option for a tv surely? nope not here!! The advert on expedia is misleading and doesn't give you the true picture of what it would be like for someone staying.

Not ideal for warm summer nights

Clean, comfortable but basic accommodation, value for money. Only real complaint is that no provision is made for warmer weather. Being a new build i'm sure it is well insulated for cold weather, but no means of cooling in warm weather has been provided. I'm not expecting air con but 28C is not a comfortable temperature for sleeping! It wasn't a heatwave the night I stayed and I can't imagine staying here if it was!

After finding the place we were shown to a room, it was basic to say the least, it was a bed for the night, no more no less, £75 was cheeky, in my opinion it was £40 at most

We arrived after a few wrong turns my sat nav stopped as soon as we came off the A9. not a big deal . We were welcomed and taken to our Studio room which was spotless and had everything from cooking to showering that we needed very satisfied.

This place needs to provide a better description of where to check in. Dorm rooms on a college campus. Not much nearby for food, etc, so eat before you arrive or bring your own. Taxi driver at train station knew how to get there, but not exactly where to drop us off. The check in building is not where you stay. We had to walk around in the dark a while before we found it, and no one around to ask. Building 7! Needs a big sign! Other than that, it’s an ok, inexpensive place to crash for an early morning flight. Taxi to airport was 20 pounds. You get a key card for several entrance doors. Each unit has its own bathroom, with about 7 units per “flat”, and a full kitchen. Beds not the greatest, could feel the springs. Towels provided, but no toiletries, so need your own, even soap. Not much noise from students and no bed bugs like other reviews mentioned. Simple, no frills, very clean place.

Hotel bueno, pero no pidas grandes cosas

Hotel MUY sencillo. Cama de 1,35m con un baño tipo barco (pequeño y plástico prefabricado) pero correcto. Habitación pequeña en la que casi no se puede abrir la maleta. La limpieza.... había un pantalón en el armario.... así que no lo hicieron muy a fondo. La localización está a las afueras y no es muy fácil de localizar si no has estado antes.... según el GPS pero has de llegar hasta el fondo de la calle y dejar el coche sobre zonas que pone que no se puede aparcar (falta espacio). Lo bueno el precio....

Yikes!

When we arrived to the area we couldn't find the reception as the college has a building labelled reception and signs directing you too it, but it is not a part of the accommodation. There were several other people looking for it as well. We tried calling for help with no answer. When we informed the front desk the admitted they knew about the problem but had done nothing to fix it. The guy checking us in was nice, but clearly overwhelmed. The room was fairly clean but small. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable with springs poking you all night. It was definitely not a bed for two people as advertised. And, the pillows were thin and clearly old. The kitchen hard overflowing garbage, no recycling and no dish soap. When we asked the front desk about this they said they didn't know who took out the garbage handed us a large black garbage bag and informed us soap was not provided for the dishes. One last note; there is not enough parking for all of the guests and it's very unclear as to where you can and cannot park outside of the parking lots directly outside your building. I understand it's a cheap accommodation, but this is beyond unacceptable.

Sconsiglio: sporcizia!

Estremamente sporco: capelli nella doccia, tenda della doccia sporca, asse della toilette sporco, il lavandino della prima camera era otturato, non hanno fatto l’aspirapolvere. Assenza della pattumiera in camera. Unica cosa pulita: il letto. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiare la camera e ce ne hanno consegnata un’altra pressoché nelle stesse condizioni.
