"The hotel continues to give a mixed impression.
We were given a very nice corner room that actually had a couch and a small cooking area. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The cooking area was tiny - basically a hot plate with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils on a table right beside the door, i.e., somewhat inconveniently located. I didn't cook anything, but used the desk to make sandwiches to take along on the day's drive. Four of the six light bulbs over the bathroom sink were out, and the cord on a desk lamp was loosely attached, causing the lamp to turn off frequently. Breakfast was decent but not great. We took advantage of the food provided for a light supper: bread, sliced cheese, sliced turkey and ham luncheon meat, a salad, and a "potato" soup that didn't seem to have any potatoes in it or even taste of potatoes. A couple warm chocolate chip cookies were provided for dessert. Although I appreciated that we didn't have to go out to get supper, I found the food so boring and processed-tasting, that I wish we had gone to one of the nearby restaurants instead.
We appreciated the room upgrade but were disappointed in the spotty attention to detail when it comes to maintenance. The snack/supper provided left such a poor impression that I think the hotel might as well eliminate it (perhaps provide cookies for their guests upon arrival?). Personally, I would have appreciated the option of brewed decaf coffee at breakfast and in the evening."
