The hotel was located close to places of interests. Rooftop restaurant breakfast came with breathtaking views. The staff were helpful with excursions. The only rooms available were the basement ones, I'd highly recommend others to opt for 2nd floor upwards ones, ours smelt musty and shook each time the train went by.

The room was dirty, it was pretty cold in the room, we weren t able to turn on the AC. The room was on the street side so it was noisy. We asked for another room and we got one but the other one was also not so clean and it was cold. The staff was accommodating and polite.

Complaint about reservation cancellation

Right after I arrive in Istanbul I got a WhatsApp message from the hotel asking what time I was supposed to be at the hotel to which I responded explaining that I was at the airport and was about to take a taxi and head to the hotel. In about half an hour later, and while I was in the taxi on my way there, I got a new WhatsApp message to inform me that my reservation was cancelled and that they had no rooms available. This is unacceptable and has caused me a terrible inconvenience. I demand to be compensated for it. I have and can provide evidence of the above. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Michael

AN AWFUL HOTEL - beneath contempt!

We arrived at the hotel and found it had a large notice declaring it was CLOSED. Neither the hotel nor Hotels.Com informed us. No compensation was offered other than a refund of payment. I rate this hotel as beneath contempt!

Zentral gelegen- alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Nettes, hilfsbereites Personal. In unserem Zimmer gab es kaum Ablagemöglichkeiten. Keine Garderobenhaken für Mäntel und Jacken. Im Badezimmer überhaupt keine Ablagen - Kulturbeutel auf dem Fußboden. Frühstück Geschmacksache. Viele Sachen eher für den Brunch geeignet. Aber man wird satt. Stellt man keine großen Ansprüche so kann ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Ansonsten haben wir die Türken als sehr freundliche Menschen kennengelernt. Istanbul immer wieder

Staff was wonderful. Professional and helpful at every turn. Breakfast was very good and view from enclosed terrace was nice. And location was better than expected. Just 10 minutes from most things to see and lots of good inexpensive restaurants in similar range. Very nice place to come home to after full days exploring the city.

No es un establecimiento de 4 estrellas, no brindan adecuado confort , hay que reclamar hasta que pongan sabanas y amenities de baño, El agua de gentileza te la dan 1 sola vez y los demas dias hay que pagarla, insolito para 4 estrellas. Me dieron mala informacion previa y me indicaron que al llegar a Sultanahmet desde el aeropuerto podria tomar taxi en la plaza y con sorpresa, al arribar a Sultanahmet tuvimos que caminar con 4 maletas y 2 mochilas 850 metros por calles adoquinadas y en subida porque no me indicaron que no entran los taxis a la plaza donde arriba el micro del aeropuerto.increible!! Arman la cama con 1 sola sabana, la de abajo y una manta para cubrirse, no es un hotel de 4 estrellas sino de 2, el desayuno no es bufet internacional, es un desayuno turco, se les rompio la maquina de cafe y ese dia no hubo cafe. Un desastre. Orbitz debe auditar este hotel antes de recomendarlo. El sitio esta al lado de las vias del tren y es ruidoso. Bien ubicado, pero hay muchos hoteles en la zona y mejores .

A minha estadia foi boa, porém não gostei da maneira que eles cobram a estadia. Cheguei no hotel epedi para ver o quarto e disse que iria ao banheiro e depois iria na recepção efetuar o pagamento e em menos de cinco minutos depois estavam batendo na porta dizendo que a recepção estava aguardando o pagamento. Tenho o custume de viajar para diferentes países e jamais, nem mesmo na Turquia vi tal atitude. eles já tinham minha cópia de passaporte e minhas bagagens, me senti tratada como se fosse uma ladra e que ia fugir do hotel sem pagar. Diversos hotéis inclusive pagamos a conta no check out.

Straight to the point

Amazing Hotel. Its very simple. Bathroom water is hot as hell. The room is extremely comfy. Its only about a 10 minute walk from the hagia sofia, blue mosque, topkapi and the brand bazaar. The heater is will burn you. Its that good. The tv could have more channels but other that its an excellent hotel. Breakfast is eh whatever, but good enough.

Great location!

Great location, clean room and helpful staff. It was great value for the price. The sauna looked OK but there was no relax area after taking sauna. Sauna needs to be paid extra.

A hotel we will remember

We were impressed by the warm and friendly staffs, from the manager to reception desk clerks, as wall as the room attendants. They were not only willing to help, but also were thoughtful and considerate, detail-oriented. They make us feel at home from the moment we entered the hotel throughout our stay to the time we said Goodbye to the staff member who carried our luggage to our taxi wearing shirt in cold weather. It was a very warm farewell you rarely see in New York City. We would strongly recommend this hotel to our colleagues in New York, and in TESOL Int’l whose members are from 145 countries all over the world.

Ideal situation and great staff

Overall our stay at Almina hotel was great due to the great staff!. They were arranging and very helpful when we needed information about Istanbul places, shopping, sightseeing and visiting. The rooms were OK, probably need a refresh but this is apparently on its way... The breakfast was very good and with several local cuisine specialties. I warmly recommend this hotel for your stay in Istanbul. It is a very convenient place not far from the famous of Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topcapi Palace, Archeological museum, Basilica Cistern and many other things to visit. You can also walk to the grand bazaar and Egyptian bazaar or take the tramway which is about 2.60 TL. Don't hesitate...

Hotel bom. Café pessimo!

Todos os funcionários foram extremamente prestativos. Acho que isso foi o melhor da estada. O hotel tem uma boa conservação e é confortável, apesar de não ser um 4 estrelas como no Brasil. Reservei um quarto para 2 e fiquei no prédio anexo. Isso foi algo que não gostei muito, mas o quarto era espaçoso e a internet funcionava bem. A localização é boa, mas é preciso andar pouco menos de 10 minutos para chegar ao centrinho do bairro. O café da manhã é horroroso, só com o café turco que eu detestei. Nas 2 últimas noites nem subi para comer. Acho que deveriam considerar o cardápio.
