Lovely place. The staff is very welcoming and helping. The hotel is located in Laleli, which is the heart of the old town. The breakfast was very good and everything else was fine.

Would stay again.

Very nice and clean room, on the smaller side. Easy and quick check in service. Lovely buffet breakfast on the top floor with a terrace overlooking the sea. Good location, close to all ameneties (money exchange, souvenirs, food, mosques) and 20 minute walk or 5 minute tram ride from main attractions like Sultanahmet mosque, Hagia Sophia etc. Surrounding area is full of clothes shops with some...interesting items, to say the least lol. Only downside was mini fridge wasn't working, only one key card and bathroom lock didn't work. To be fair though, we didn't actually ask them to fix any of these issues as it didn't bother us so can't comment on how they resolved these minor issues.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and the restaurant on floor 6 had excellent views and a good range of food options. The main complaint was that the rooms are generally small although we were able to move to a larger (but not big!) room for days 2 and 3 of our 3 day stay.

We loved the Beyazit Palace Hotel for its proximity to the Grand Bazaar, Misir Carsisi & Sultan Ahmet. There are also transport links should one want to connect to other places in Istanbul! We walked most of the time. In the negative side, we did not quite get the Turkish hospitality that we are used to at this hotel. Customer service could be better as everything seemed to be a bit of problem. For example, we asked if we could pack a breakfast to go, like a sandwich since we were in a hurry and wanted to beat the crowds for the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The manager said no; that we have to eat in the restaurant. Even though the room included breakfast. It was also just that one off! On the whole, breakfast was very basic with only two options for cooked food such as boiled or scrambled eggs or broccoli with peppers or cauliflower with carrots. The rest was the usual Turkish spread. About the room. One of the headboards fell off. The water went everywhere when showering as there was not enough surface area to take a shower. So the water went all over the floor. There was no space to put our makeup bags in the bathroom - so basically kept most of that in the suitcase, which was inconvenient each time we needed to freshen up! Other than that, the stay was pleasant enough

I arrived at the hotel and they did not give me a room I had to wait in the hotel from 5am for a room. The electricity was so bad it would cut off for several hours even at night so the room would get super hot and we wouldn’t have any lights making it unsafe. There was bed bugs and we all got bites all over us and allergic reactions. I’m very unhappy.

Wrong room given upon arrival when told them we were told no rooms available as they were full. Entrance room given to hotel.. Noisy, no privacy, people looking in your room whilst passing. Had to keep curtains closed all day no daylight coming in. Had to upgrade 3 days later which wasn’t our fault but ended up paying 4 nights. Will not be booking. Will be putting a complaint on too.

Stay away from this place(it is not a hotel)!!!

If you're considering booking this hotel, think again! I booked with high hopes, expecting a 4-star experience, but what I got was far from it. Firstly, the bed sheets weren't changed for eight days! despite my objections on three separate occasions. I even had photographic evidence to prove that the same sheet with a distinctive hole was being reused throughout my stay. Unless every single sheet in the hotel has that exact hole (which I highly doubt), this is just unacceptable. They rudely said it was not true and they would film it for me. Their promise to film the cleaning process was not fulfilled either. Instead, I was shown some generic pictures of a room supposedly being cleaned. From what I observed, they merely made the bed and left without any thorough cleaning. As for the breakfast, it quickly became repetitive and boring after just three days. Considering the money spent here, you'd be better off booking an Airbnb or another decent hotel in the area. Don't make the same mistake I did; there are plenty of better options available!

Expectation vs reality the room was super small compared to the pictures, the tv didnt have a remote and we couldn’t use it, the shower floor gets wet easily because the shower glass doesn’t contain all the water. The faucet wouldn’t stay in a raised position, and the view from the window was terrible, very run down building in view. What saved our stay was the kind staff and breakfast, they also brought our food deliveries to us which was great.
