It’s a very nice “boutique hotel”! Depending on what one wants or expects, it might not be exactly that. If one wants a larger hotel with fancy lobby and big rooms, this is not it. However, the staff are super friendly, overall very clean and comfortable hotel. It’s within walking distance of some of the best tourist attractions including the Bazaar and famous mosques. Great restaurants and coffee shops. Be aware that this hotel is in an old neighborhood with small roads that might or might not be open to car traffic all the time. Rooftop restaurant and the food was great. Overall, it is a nice hotel if you are not with a family. Rooms are small and some have no windows!

Very nice hotel in a great location. Ten - fifteen minute walk to many of the major tourists sites in Istanbul. Beautiful rooftop dining area. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff provided excellent service. I would definitely stay there the next time I visit Istanbul.

Hotel on The Cobblestone Street- Demiray

Great hotel and location perfect if you want to be in the Sultanahmet/old city area. Walking distance to all the major sites. Staff was professional, extremely friendly and the service was top notch. Great rooftop view of the Bosphorus Stait. I highly recommend Demiray Hotel.

The Demiray is located walking distance to many Old Town sites. The staff are friendly and attentive. The upstairs cafe for breakfast is excellent and the view is incredible. Highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at Demiray Hotel for 4 nights with family and really enjoyed it. The breakfast had great variety and the restaurant view was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and polite throughout our stay. We used the spa for a massage and sauna, which was relaxing, and also visited the swimming pool a couple of times. The location is ideal for Sultanahmet and Eminönü, though after the Grand Bazaar closes it’s a slightly longer walk back. Overall, a great and comfortable stay! Would definitely recommend😊 and would be nice to go back if we have a chance 😊

Nice Hotel with great view near key sites.

Our stay was very nice, the terrace at the top ehas beautiful views, rooms were clean and reception was very good. THey also kept our luggage on the arrival day and departure day.

This is a nice 4-star hotel, but definitely not a 5-star like how it is rated. They said the Turkish government gave them 5 stars so clearly Turkish standards are much lower. Expedia needs to be transparent about who rates the properties for stars. The staff were friendly. The place was clean. Bathrooms seem to be newly renovated. Breakfast was ok but definitely not 5-star. There was an abandoned building missing windows that was our view from our room.

The rooftop at Demiray has the most sensational view! I sat up there and watched the sunset every evening. The staff were lovely and friendly. The balcony was more a window - not one you could walk out on.

The hotel was willing to extend my original 3 night stay by and extra night at a discount and keep me in the same room. Location is great as it is walking distance to many restaurants and the major attractions such as Topkapi Palace, etc. The staff could do a little better with grasp of some english. My housekeeper was excellent. Breakfast options are okay.

OK stay.

Positives - Room is clean and they have a really good Turkish breakfast. Nice people work there. The area is quiet at night. Good if you are visiting the Sultanahnet area. But the downside is the location - once the market closes its practically a ghost town. There is a door to the bathroom but there is no door to close the shower. A fault in design perhaps? Also, I did not like the fact that hotel used my passport number as the WiFi code - massive breach of privacy, and contra GDPR if in Europe. The hotel is rated as a 4 star but I would say it's more of a good 3 star hotel.
