We had great stay at Sultan Tughra Hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay awsome. It was on a quiet street, with shops and restaurants right around the corner.

The staff was so kind and helpful. A fresh, hot breakfast made just for you every morning. The place is decorated like a sultan’s fancy place and it is located within walking distance of all the great sights. You will not go wrong booking here.
I really liked the staff members as they provided the best customer service. Location was perfect near all attractions, but breakfast could be way better and for Turkey they could have better quality for food and coffee.
Absolutely LOVED the people that worked there! The room was comfortable & honestly ornate to the point of being comical. I loved it! My gosh, that food for breakfast was outstanding, too!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful, peaceful stay in the historic heart of Istanbul
We had a truly lovely stay at Sultan Tughra Hotel.
From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally kind, warm, and genuinely welcoming — you immediately feel at ease.
The hotel is located in a quiet, historic neighborhood, just a few minutes’ walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque.
Nearby, you can also easily reach Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Gulhane Park, and enjoy long walks toward the Sea of Marmara.
This makes the hotel an ideal choice for travelers who want to explore Istanbul on foot — walking one or two historical sites each day through peaceful, beautiful backstreets, without rush or crowds.
What made the stay even more special was the atmosphere: the sound of seagulls, fresh winter air, and scenic walks near the waterfront — a perfect blend of calm and history.
Our room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The bathroom stood out in particular, with strong hot water pressure and perfect temperature, which is such a relief during winter travel.
The hotel felt peaceful and respectful. We noticed well-mannered German and African couples staying there as well, and the overall silence and serenity made it ideal for rest.
Thank you to Hotels.com for making this smooth booking possible, and special thanks to the wonderful team at Sultan Tughra Hotel for creating such a warm and memorable experience.
We would happily stay here again
On a quiet street, walking distance to major attractions and the sea broadwalk.
Reasonably priced. Its an old boutique hotel, rooms are small but clean, staff is friendly, decent breakfast custom omlets and coffees. We used card to keep ac running during our stay.
Great little hotel in the heart of Istanbul, all within a walking distance. Fantastic service, we even had breakfast included in the price. Room was bit smaller than expected btu all basic ameneties worked. Call the hotel direct for a better deal.
Nice place to stay while in Istanbul. Very close to the boardwalk outside the busy city, on a quiet street.
Close enough to walk to absolutely everything and far enough away to escape the chaos that is Istanbul.
Really enjoyed the breakfast and the tea and coffee, lots of recommendations on places and things to see.
The one thing is the rooms are small, but there is a closet to put stuff, and they are cozy.
I missed my flight to Minsk and had to stay overnight at Istanbul. I booked this hotel last minute from the airport without much research and never regretted. They made me feel very welcome even though I was a solo traveller, signed me up for an awesome dinner on a boat (I definitely needed it after two flights).
Next day I was able to walk around the city for a little bit because the hotel is 7 mins walking distance from the Blue Mosque. The breakfast at the hotel was absolutely delicious. The rooms are very clean and you feel like a royalty staying at this hotel. Highly recommend.
I realize now, a week after coming back home, that we got a tiiiny economy room in the basement, even if we booked and paid for a bigger, standard room (which clearly had natural light and windows on the pictures, unlike the basement...) I guess i was in a good mood and didnt realise at the time but this is really NOT okay. Positive points: the staff is very friendly and the neighborhood is SO pretty and cosy, also very close to the touristic area while being very quiet. Negative points: the smell in the room is AWFUL (i dont know if it smells like passion fruit or cat pee but it´s bad, and since you cant really open the window it lingers and makes it hard to sleep), no space to open our luggage, and on our last day there was no hot water (its an old house in an old part of town so it can happen, and in the end it didnt matter too much, it´s almost a fun memory). Also the TV is not working but we werent there to watch tv so it was ok.
The room was adequate. Lots of mirrors. The bathroom was ok. The staff were exceptional. The breakfast was good the lady that served was extremely nice and gave us Turkish coffee everyday. The location was also very good with a nice little restaurant across the street for dinner.
Terrible breakfast ,no elevator, poor food choices , we couldn’t use the jacuzzi because of the sewage smell coming out the water.Overall a terrible experience.
Breakfast was nothing special and could be improved. Different styles of bread ( white/brown) ,pastries ( croissant...) more type of cereals and better juices
