When we checked out at Titanic Hotel Bakirköy Port today, I was asked to submit a review about our stay and I do this with a lot of pleasure, while waiting at IST airport to go home to Germany.
In fact I can report about a long-term experience, as we stayed as a couple more than 20 times at the hotel during the last years, each time around 1 week.
This because we are very happy with both, the hotel and its location.
The service staff is very attentive. When we had any special requests, those were always promptly and kindly fulfilled (like cutlery/plates/glasses to take to the room, addtl towels or an extra suitcase stand).
Even the simple rooms are spacious and all are in a very good shape and kept really clean. Towels are changed daily and even the sheets/bedding every other day (!). We did never face any disturbance by noise in our rooms.There is a minibar in all rooms, which offers enough space to temporarily add your own stuff. The hotel's restaurant is a good and really not expensive option (compared to western Europe), if you don't want to go out. However the district, even if not very fancy at a first glance, offers a lot of possibilities to eat in low to high cost restaurants with both, international and traditional Turkish food.
The same applies to shopping in general: you can buy simple clothing and other things (e.g. household stuff) either in a very simple and economical way up to luxury stuff in 3 shopping malls in max. 10min walking distance from the hotel.
